Production versus concept car - 2014 Renault Initiale Paris
|   Monday, September 16, 2013
Recently presented at the famous Frankfurt Auto Show, the 2014 Renault Initiale Paris is actually a concept but it definitely resembles a production preliminary showing. The company representatives have also stated that the newly launched concept, 2014 Renault Initiale Paris, is a new and improved version of the Espace.

It is quite obvious that with the release of such a model, Renault would like to establish a totally new lineup which includes a couple of fresh features such as: sleek side styling, low slung plexiglass roof or honeycomb intakes right beneath the integrated bumper.

We could also assume that this current designed would like to make the future line up resemble more a crossover and not exactly a minivan.
Being presented among two other concepts at the Frankfurt Auto Show, the Initiale Paris seems to be the longer one with a total length of 4.85 meter. Which is quite a lot for a crossover but there is definitely a special technology design regarding the aerodynamic which has been applied to this vehicle so that it could beat the wind resistance and be able to reach 60 mph in just 9 seconds.

Although designed to resemble a crossover, the upcoming concept has inspired from the overall look of a sedan when introducing the emphatic front grille. Displayed in a smooth Amethyst shade, the Initiale Paris has definitely an elegant look and with together with the metallic black and plum violet inserts it definitely presents a glam personality.

One of the most interesting, yet, curious features is the plexiglass and aluminum roof which actually describes a map of Paris and show several hot spots of the city. So, all the Renault fans who fell in love with Paris will eagerly wait for this concept to become a production line as soon as possible.

The performance figures released so far show the fact the Initiale Concept will feature a dCi 130 powertrain and the engine will be able to produce huge amounts of torque at 295 pound feet, making the vehicle reach 140 hp and 60 mph is just 9 seconds.

Starting with this concept, the car manufacturer would like to explore the possible good results that a twin turbo technology could offer. Also, everyone should now that the integrated engine has been designed with the best, latest technology in order to transform it into the very best version released so far.
The 2014 Initiale Paris Concept will compete directly on the auto market with the Citroen C4 Picasso which is actually a 2013 model but it will probably receive an updated version.

Attractive and fun with the plexiglass roof and map of Paris, Renault Initiale Paris Concept, planned for 2014 is going to be on the wishlist of a lot on young drivers. Although a bit too large, it is going to be suitable for both urban and highway drives and we hope it will be fuel economical and powerful at the same time.
