Porsche Turbo S and Porsche Turbo 911
|   Sunday, May 26, 2013
Turbo charging is the feature which has remained associated with Porsche cars for a very long time when they first released the 911 Turbo in 1974. Ever since that, Turbo has not used the GT label on the backend of the 911. This brand has been using the turbo in a very efficient manner and the force induced 917-30 has helped them to remain dominant.

The latest link in the chain of the Turbocharged 911 will soon be welcomed by us. The brand is going to make an impact with the release of the 2014 model of the 911 Turbo and the Turbo S.

Both the 911 and the Turbo S will be using the double turbo with a 3.8 liter and having an engine that generates power equal to 520 horses while Turbo S will be mocking 560 of them. These figures are 20 and 30 more than the power of the previous versions released by this brand. The torque figures are yet to be confirmed.

The acceleration is enha nced and the Turbo 911 can pick a speed of 60 in 3.2 seconds while Turbo S will get that speed in 2.9 seconds only. 196 mph is the top speed for the 911 while S has a top speed of 198. This new addition has made the latest models something that fans love to wait for.

Although Porsche had been using the manual option but since they left it at 911 GT3, so it should not come as a surprise that the latest versions being discussed here are using the best PDK automatic seven-speed system. The new gear box is supposed to help pick the 60 mph in a much less time and it is a great enhancement if not a surprise. The automatic transmission mode is also responsible for making the car economical. A start-stop system is also one of the amazing features of this car.

Other conventional features have also been improved. Both the cars have an improved all-wheel drive feature which allows better transferring of power between the different axles and the water cooling feature along with the coupling system are also the great improvements. Rear wheel steering system is also featured in the Turbo.
The body design of the Carrera 4 and 4S are shared by the 911 Turbo but the 991 has a body which is more wide than these designs and the added rear portion of 1.1 inches is also there.

And the final improvement is that both the 911 Turbo and the Turbo S are featuring adjustability for both the front and the rear spoilers and their operations are electronically controlled. There are three stages for adjusting the spoilers.

Both the cars are amazing and the brand has a lot of fan-base. The two cars are supposed to be out in 2013. The 2014 model of the 911 Turbo and The Turbo S will not be coming before the end of this year. The initial price of Turbo S is $ 181,100 and that of 911 is $148,300.
