|   Saturday, October 20, 2012
Porsche has renovated the Cayenne and is planning to launch the second generation of the vehicle at the upcoming Detroit Motor Show 2013. The new Cayenne Turbo S, as the vehicle is being called, has a top speed of 176 MPH and the capable of accelerating to 60 MPH from 0 in under 4.2 seconds.

The vehicle is estimated to be launched in January and is priced at 107,460 Pounds. The 4.8 liter Turbo charged V8 powering the vehicle is set to be the top end model and will feature the same engine used on the Porsche Panamera Turbo S.
The vehicle features a free flow exhausts and this enables the engine to breathe easy.

Therefore, this increases the turbo charged boost pressure and the vehicle is able to perform better. The vehicle is blazingly fast considering its vital statistics and this has been achieved due to the advanced weight reducing measures used by Porsche. The Cayenne is basically an SUV with the proportions of a cross over and is quite heavy considering all the facts.

The ECU has been remapped and hence the Cayenne S capable of better acceleration and top speed. The turbo has power ranging of 542 BHP and this is 43 BHP more than the current Cayenne. The turbo charger used on the Cayenne S is the most powerful used on a Porsche as of yet and as a result the vehicle is one of the best performance vehicles from Porsche till date.

The torque production of the engine has been increased to 553 ft lb and this is 37 ft kb more than the current Cayenne. The Cayenne S also takes 0.2 seconds less time than the Cayenne to reach 60 MPH and this is a considerable achievement considering the size of the vehicle. The top speed has been increased by 3 MPH and Co2 emission is close to 240 g/km. Fuel consumption figures are near 24 MPG and this is decent considering the other SUVs the Cayenne S competes with.

The Cayenne Turbo Sis designed on the same chassis and body frame as that of the Cayenne Turbo S and this vehicle uses aluminum and carbon fiber parts in general to keep weight in check as well as improve handling and bring stability to the vehicle. Porsche has an active damping control with front air suspensions and the hydraulically controlled slip arms and differentials make for better ride ability of the vehicle.

The body torque and weight is controlled and the Cayenne Turbo S has one of the best powers to weight ratios in class. With built in 21 inch sports alloyed rims, the Cayenne Turbo S is one of the largest vehicles in class. The new trims and upholstery with new technologies and luxury make the Cayenne Turbo S quite a remarkable all round vehicle and when it comes to practicality, the Cayenne Turbo S is the best in class. Porsche has never come this close to perfection with this vehicle and it is an engineering marvel.
