Porsche Plans to Unveil Boxter and Cayman GTS This April
|   Saturday, February 01, 2014
Porsche's Boxter and Cayman GTS variants were recently spotted running tests prior to their official unveil at Beijing later this year. Work on both these vehicles is near completion and we could be looking at unofficial images soon. Details of both vehicles had been leaked last year from an American car dealer, although formal word is yet to arrive. We are expecting close to 15 BHP surge in power on both variants, although exterior modifications is what really sets them apart.

Standard 3.4 liter petrol engines will be available on the Boxter S while the GTS will be displacing 326 BHP. We are expecting 335 BHP on the Cayman S. An all new front and rear bumper design, followed by exhaust tips are in place in all next generation vehicles, while standard 20 inch sports rims will be used in all production variants.

Daytime Running Lights are in place, while major style cues have been borrowed from the 911 Carrerra S. Standard manual and PDK transmission systems are available on all variants, although optional transmission will also be present. Insiders suggest that Porsche Active Suspension Management will be present on all models, without charging any extra cost. Increase in price is expected, although we are yet to gain any official word on this.

We expect a basic price tag of £50,000 for the Boxter GTS and £52,700 for the Cayman GTS. External modifications make this vehicle a brutal beauty and considering Porsche's prowess with performance, we expect nothing but the best on track and road conditions. This is a mid engine sports car, with the S tag. Steering modifications have been made along with damper and suspension settings which call for a comfortable ride.

Cornering is easy considering low center of gravity and ride height. This in turn reduces body roll. The 911 platform was a one of a kind creation, which in turn has been extensively worked on, to create the current class leading vehicle. Do you think these vehicles have what it takes to take on future market competitors? Stay tuned as we bring you latest news and updates.
