Porsche Panamera Proves its Worth in the Performance Sector
|   Friday, July 05, 2013
Like every other creation from Porsche, the Panamera shares the same designing trend as seen on the Porsche Boxter, 911, Cayenne and the Cayman. The second generation Porsche Panamera looks exactly like its predecessor and is powered by a V6 and V8 drive train while Porsche is considering a new hybrid technology for the vehicle. The Panamera diesel is also gaining popularity fast and this vehicle manages to return a decent fuel economy despite its heavy size.

The evolutionary styling by Porsche has been carried forward to the Panamera and the chassis and body frames have barely changed since the last generation vehicle was unveiled. This car is graceful if not the most visually appeasing in the range. The Panamera has sufficient road presence and is a large, four seated vehicle perfect for sports enthusiasts who also need to travel.

The Panamera finds a competitor in the Aston Martin Rapide but the British design fails when it comes to offering value for money. The Panamera offers similar features along with better performance at a much lower price and is hence a renowned vehicle worldwide. If you tend to like the Panamera on the exterior, you are sure to be enthralled by the interior as well.

The rich feel of the interior is sure to attract people and those already in sync with the way Porsche deals with. Despite the large size and volume of the Panamera, the vehicle can be swiftly taken round bends and the agility will definitely set hearts racing. Porsche is offering the Panamera is two wheel drive and the suspension, throttle and steering changes can be made to the vehicle to assist drivers in their quest.

The Panamera is swifter than its predecessor and the three drive mode available on the ride adjust the settings accordingly. The steering column is well adjusted and this enhances the overall drive feel of the Panamera. The hybrid drive train should be a potent addition to this already varied class of vehicles. Porsche has installed the PDK transmission system on the Panamera and this is set to help the driver control the car in a better manner.

The transmission system could be jerky at times and the diesel engine does not help the cause much. The turbo charged engine propels the Panamera at high speeds and this is the world's first passenger sports car. Porsche's advanced Drive Power survey revealed that customers rate the Panamera highly and when it comes to basic performance and handling there is no rivaling the Panamera.

This four door hatch back based SUV has a sufficiently large boot space of 445 liters and this is sufficiently large for storing luggage for long trips. Power delivery is quite linear and this assists the driver on long cruises. The Panamera feels in control at all times and the advanced electronic measures make sure the car can be controlled manually without any glitches. Overall, the Panamera provides the best of performance in class that its competitors feel hard to rival.
