Porsche 911 Carrera - a new secret revealed
|   Saturday, September 01, 2012
The Porsche 911 has always been one of the most beloved cars in the fast car industry. It's fast, it's got status and most of all it's got class. Never have I seen a Porsche owner ever not happy with what the car has to offer. The 911 however has been around for quiet some time now and each generation is much more better than the previous. The 2013 model of the Porsche 911 Carrera was just as amazing as the old ones and really came with some exciting new tweaks.

We are expecting to see a complete parking lot full of 911 variations and the most anticipated Porsche vehicle of the year is the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4s. The Paris Auto show this year will the vehicles first debut but why are we excited about them? The Porsche 911 Carrera 4 and 4S come with all-wheel drive, something you don't find in Porsche every day. Drivers are anxiously waiting to see what it feels like to be behind the wheel of an all powerful Porsche for the very first time. Other than that the Carrera 4 AND 4S come with similar specifications as the 911 standard. The 911 Carrera got the direct fuel injected flat six engine, while the Carrera 4 is getting a 3.4 turbocharged 350hp but the Carrera 4S gets a 3.8 liter 400 horsepower engine and a 325 pound torque.

Of course power is nothing till the body of the car is light enough to enjoy it. That's the manufacturers made the new Porsche 911 much lighter than ever before. Depending on the style and add-ons in the car, the designers claim that the car is nearly 145 pounds lighter than it was before, making accelerating out of a turn more exciting than ever. The 4S is said to reach 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds. Even the S coupe has a similar track record making it an ideal and more affordable choice.

The new and improved Porsche traction Management system is also said to be in the Porches 911 Carrera series. You are surely going to need it when driving on rocky roads. So what about the add-ons? The Spoilers and all of the body kits? Well the new Porches 911 comes with rear fender that have been stretched out to accommodate the view of the wide tires that have also been stretched out by 0.4 inches. The internal menu on the screen is also different. The new Porsche traction Management System shows the drivers how exactly power is being distributed to the tires while on the move, also another add-on is the Porsche Updated cruise control system for the Porsche Safe Suit. All of the features may only be available to the PDK models and will make their debut in the 2012 Paris Auto Show.

So how heavy is this toy going to be for our wallets. Well the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 is said to be starting at around $91000 while the 4S will be starting at around 106 grand.
