Peugeot Boxer Facelift: New Equipment And Lines For The French Vehicle

Peugeot applied a restyling move to its Boxer range, applying the front of its new models for their own utility model too.

The range of HDi engines displacing 2.2 liters has a revised injection system. The manufacturer assures us that the Boxer facelift offers more refinement and extra durability, features obtained from the 2.5 million kilometers driven by the prototypes related to the restyled version.

The reliability tests have included various phases, such as 1,500 hours at a temperature between -20 and +40 grade Celsius, in order to check how these temperature affects the behavior of the vehicle. 500,000 cycles of opening the sliding doors were made ​​by robots of the PSA laboratories to test the durability of the utility model.

While some features mentioned above are optional, the facelift Peugeot Boxer presents the standard Bluetooth connection, USB port for the audio system as standard, electric windows and safety features such as ABS, ESP and EBA. The ESP system includes adaptive cargo control function, traction control and hill start assist and some versions get included in the standard version the tire pressure monitoring system and the lane warning system. The engine range has five diesel engines, all with particle filters, which provide between 110 and 180 hp. The flagship is a 3.0-liter HDi unit that provides 180 hp and a torque figure of 400 Nm. Only the 130 hp version, the 2.2 liter HDI engine, is provided with Start-Stop technology.
