Panamera from Porsche gets face lift with hike in power output

Whenever a car starts to lose its popularity, and the sales figures for the car seems to be falling down, the company decides to give the car a face lift. A facelift is nothing but a few minor changes in the looks, and at sometimes, the design of the car. It has been noted in the past that a midterm facelift has been good for the car, although some cases of failures has been noted. However, some cars receive a facelift just to bring more variety to the market.
The Panamera from Porsche has been a successful car, and is receiving a midterm facelift. By this time in the year 2014, a face lifted version of the car will be made available in the market.

The facelift of Panamera from Porsche will not be restricted to some minor changes in the looks of the car. The car is going to receive some major changes in different aspects, including the engine of the car. The engine installed in the Panamera from Porsche is a V6 which has been modified by the company.

The V6 installed in the face lifted Panamera is going to be a modified version of 4.8 litre V8. A cylinder form each bank of the V8 has been removed to make the 3.6 litre V6 that has been installed in the car. The engine is going to provide 10 more horsepower than before the face lift, making it 310 horsepower in total.

The Panamera S and the Panamera 4S is going to be fitted with a twin turbo V6 engine with 3 litre capacity. This version of the engine is going to produce an amazing 420 horsepower, the Panamera GTS from Porsche is going to use the standard 4.8litre V8 which will also see an increase of 10horsepower, boosting the total horsepower of the engine to 440 from a previous 430. The best horsepower is going to be provided by the engine fitted in the Panamera Turbo. This car has been fitted with the twin turbo charged version of the 4.8 litre V8. This engine is capable of producing 520 horsepower, which unlike the other engines, is an amazing 20 horsepower more than the previous values. All the figures for the different engines available on the different versions of the face lifted Panamera from Porsche is enough to put any competitor to shame.

Even the hybrid version of the Panamera has not been left behind. The Panamera Se Hybrid though sees no change in power output from the engine, will receive twice the power from the electric motor. The power output of the power train in this car jumps to 416 horsepower from a previous 380 horsepower. The only car to be left out of this hike in power is the Panamera diesel, which continues to run on 250 hp.

The only bad news for the car is that the manual gear box will no longer be available. The six speed transmission system of the car will be fully automatic.
