Opel confirms plans to introduce 27 new models in their Vauxhall lineup, by 2018, along with 17 new engine blocks. This is part of Opel's plans, to find new market segments for Vauxhall, which has been recording steady sales improvements. They have plans to increase market shares from 8.5% to 12%, by 2022, which will bring them up, as the second largest car manufacturer, in Europe.

They also have plans to increase market share in Germany by 10%, which is to be fulfilled in a similar deadline.
Vauxhall plans on introducing their Adam Rocks and Vivaro Van, by year end, which will also follow their upgraded Corsa. The new Astra and Corsa models, has been showcased recently, while a prototype is currently available for test drives. Both models are expected to make an official debut at Paris, in October 2015, followed by a formal launch in 2016.

Opel currently has setup a loose deadline for these activities, although, actual timings could differ by a slight margin. Major exterior, interior, performance and refinement upgrades are to be made, in order to fend off competition from rival German brands such as Audi, BMW and Mercedes Benz. Among the planned range of engines, a turbocharged 1.0 liter SGE block, displacing 113 BHP is expected to be most popular.

Opel plans on continuing this market onslaught, by introducing new technology and vehicles, into the market. The most important addition to this year's technology upgrade is OnStar, which is a Wi-Fi hotspot, expected to be introduced in class early next year. Additional plans to cut production costs are under consideration, which could enhance profit margins, while ensuring minimum impact on production capabilities and quality.

Their Project 2022 was conceived back in 2012, as part of a 10 year strategies, to enhance customer appeal and quality of their products. They have kept their promises so far, as the first remodels are about to be unveiled, just two years after implementation. General Motors planned on rescuing Opel from its dull spell, which was possible due to the Adam, getting a great start, in class.

General Motors is on full backup mode, as they plan on helping Opel get back on its feet. The company is currently following their master plan, step by step, which should give them an edge in class, if implemented correctly. 2016 is a very important fiscal year for Opel and Vauxhall, as their fates are to be decided, by public viewings.

Extensive investments in research, development and infrastructure upgrades, have paid off and Opel is planning to enjoy these benefits. The company is keen on building its own fleet for the European market, which needs careful planning and implementation, in order to succeed.
