Nissan Reveal Sportier Murano for 2015
|   Friday, April 18, 2014
Nissan has confirmed to news sources that their latest Murano cross over will be reaching showrooms across the United States later this year. Similarities with its sporty concept variant, showcased at various International auto shows previously, are notable. The Murano debuted on an international circuit back in 2002 and has received numerous positive accreditations over time. It is one of the sportiest light weight trucks we have today.

Various design elements on this vehicle, are similar to Nissan's Resonance Concept, which was showcased at the Detroit Motor Show earlier in 2013.
Nissan had pushed for cross over sales, as demand was higher than any other segment initially. The production car needed to be as close to its concept as possible, as it had received numerous positive feedbacks from clients across the globe.

American and Europe are two of Nissan's biggest customer base right after China, even though demand for crossovers are quite high in other Asian markets too. Nissan has done the best it can, in order to make this vehicle similar to the Resonance Concept in every field. Some of the exterior lines on the Concept were difficult to include in mass production, although it is done effectively, which should give Nissan's Murano, a new leash of life.

Nissan has added a lower angled wind shield on the Murano, with boomerang head and tail lamps. Sculpted exterior panels effectively hide its D pillar. Technological and safety upgrades are expected on this machine, while turn by turn navigation has also been introduced. This advanced system plans on responding to traffic activity up front and warns the driver accordingly.

The 2013 Resonance Concept is a toned up creation, specially designed to take on its highly styled competitors. However, it is not meant for practicality. Hence, the kind of modifications Nissan has made on their Murano should be sufficient for attracting the kind of customers they were hoping. The primary purpose of Concept cars is to attract customers via exterior style, even though they may or may not consist of technological upgrades.

Powered by a 3.5 liter V6 engine block, based on their VQ Series, this engine displaces 260 BHP, along with 240 ft lb of torque. These figures should be decent enough to propel this vehicle within city boundaries, in which it is expected to spend a considerable amount of its life. Fuel economy and CO2 emission figures are yet to be unveiled and we plan on getting them to you soon.

Experts however are looking at 18/24 MPG city/highway, keeping in mind the vehicle's drag coefficient of 0.31. Interior spacing has increased, even though overall dimensions are similar. Use of leather and wood is seen on its interiors, although we will not be able to comment on quality, without witnessing this vehicle up front. We will get back to you with all suitable details soon. Hence, stay tuned for more. Nissan has a few very interesting models up for launch and we will get back to you with them too!
