Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid with new hybridized engine
|   Monday, April 01, 2013
Two years back when Nissan outlined its next generation concept car for the first time, they had promised that this new setup of in house hybrid system cars will arrive in the market in sometimes around 2013. It was expected that ultimate sedan would be the new hybrid version car of Nissan's new next generation concept car, but it was not so.

The new Pathfinder is the first car to receive Nissan's new hybridized engine. This new car pathfinder based on Nissan's new hybrid power train was released last year and it has broken apart quite significantly from its previous generation models.
This is a SUV vehicle, which has got a similar look like that of the old traditional SUV cars.

The Pathfinder 2014 is expected to enter an empty market of non luxury cars with three row hybrid crossovers. The market is at present only occupied by Toyota Highlander hybrid.

The infinity QX6o hybrid is one of the siblings of the Pathfinder Crossover and as per the present market conditions, it is the only hybrid version of a three row cross over available in the market at present. This car is also expected to be released in 2013 at the New York Auto Show.

Nissan didn't withhold on the mixture goods with the Pathfinder. The system of the car is made up of a 2.5 liter engine; it is supported by an electric motor, the Xtronic CVT of Nissan, and is also provided with a battery pack made up of lithium ion. The motor of the car is fixed in between the CVT and the engine of the car.

There is also a pair of clutches available that connects the motor of the car with the system and the clutch also allows the motor to get disconnected from the system. (If we substitute the four-cylindered engine and the CVT of the car, then this car has got a set up similar to that found in the Infiniti M35h hybrid.) The total power output of this car stands around 250 horse power and 243 lb feet of torque.

When we had to consider about the key selling point of a car, then pathfinder delivers to be the best. It has been estimated by Nissan that a rate of 25 mpg will be good for pathfinder in the city while a rate of 27 mpg will be good for the Pathfinder in the highways.

Except a lower tow rating, the Pathfinder hybrid is not much different from the gas powered pathfinder. Led taillights, hybrid information screen and hybrid exterior badges are some of the thing that we get in pathfinder hybrids.

The lithium ion battery is placed under the seat in such a way that it would not affect the cargo space of the car. The car has also a push button for its start and a rear view camera. The display inside the car is not much different, it is pretty alike the other Pathfinder cars. But if anyone wants to compare the looks of Nissan Pathfinder with other hybrid cars, they would not find any unique looks in Pathfinder compared to the other cars.
