Nissan Finally Plans on Bringing the Blade Glider Concept to Production
|   Saturday, December 21, 2013
Nissan has finally showcased a prototype of its masterpiece electric vehicle – the Blade Glider – and development bosses think that this vehicle has a very strong chance of setting up a new benchmark in the electric car market. Not just its technology, performance wise it is expected to be a breakthrough as well while insiders claim that it handles just as well as any contemporary sedan.

Even though these need to be tested and company representatives were not foolish enough to actually drive this thing, we believe performance should be dynamic.
We however have reason for believing so, especially since Nissan plans of launching this vehicle as a replacement to its much successful 370Z within the next half decade. This is major breakthrough in the field of electric technology although a few doubts need to be cleared first.

The Garage 56 experimental vehicle entry is one of the most looked forward to event every year at the 24 Hours Le Mans and we will actually get to see Nissan's Blade Glider in action at this event. If experts are to be believed, this vehicle actually has a good chance of completing the event successfully. Its only competition at the moment is petrol electric hybrid sports car concepts.

Nissan Motorsport's Head of Innovation, Ben Bowlby joined Nissan late last year to start working on the Zeod RC petrol electric hybrid concept sports car and he is quite confidence of the Blade Glider making an impact at global events. Bowlby is fixated on triangular concepts and his first was the Nissan powered Deltawing which raced at the Le Mans event back in 2012. Bowlby is also known for designing and developing Indycars for the Ganassi Racing in America and all of his vehicles have been fairly successful.

Having actually tested this vehicle on road, Nissan is hopeful of its Blade Glider concept making it to production within the next three years. Although this is not a formal announcement, expert dealing with the situation believe that this vehicle is actually near complete and perfect, which means that not much production ready modifications need to be made. The dynamic behavior and handling prowess of this vehicle comes from its narrow front track, dual in wheel rear electric motors and slick aerodynamics.

Large rear tires also help maintain body balance and traction at high speeds. Efficiency is however its main criterion and Nissan wants to make this vehicle ready for market competition as various electric vehicles are up for launch by 2020. This vehicle is fun to handle and drive on road and track and this should play a major role for people actually purchasing this vehicle.

Driving this car is a whole new experience on a new level. Insiders have spoken about this vehicle on various occasions although a final review and specification details were never uncovered. We are hoping to gain information regarding this vehicle soon so stay tuned for latest news and update regarding this vehicle as it is nearing completing stages.
