Next Generation Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Estate Powered by Twin Turbo Charged V8 Powerhouse
|   Monday, March 17, 2014
Mercedes Benz's latest C63 AMG Estate was recently spotted running winter tests, just ahead of its official reveal at the Los Angeles Motor Show this November. This may not be news, but the fact that this vehicle will run a 500 BHP displacing 5.0 liter engine is surely music to our ears. Exterior changes are quite notable, even from under heavy camouflaging, which indicates that certain features are yet to be modified, before this vehicle is actually ready for production.

Some of these notable changes include a lower placed larger front grille with side air inlets. An aggressively placed front and rear bumper give this vehicle more character, while quadruple exhaust pipes are also prized additions. Bespoke creations have been showcased various times in the past too, although this is the best looking sample we have seen so far. Various modifications are due on this test mule too, which should add a great deal of character to this vehicle, once completed.

The most interesting part about this vehicle is its twin turbo charged 4.0 liter V8 power house, which claims to displace near 500 BHP. So much power underneath an Estate body frame is great news for us. This twin turbo charged unit replaces the 6.3 liter naturally aspirated power house present on current generation models, which had peak power displacements near 480 BHP.

Engineering plays a major role in AMG's service record and we expect better products to be out soon. The A45 AMG for example, sports a four cylindered 2.0 liter petrol engine, which is capable of quick acceleration and great top speeds. Reliability and longevity are also equally important and we expect Mercedes Benz and AMG to deliver both.

Standard architecture has been replaced with upgraded technology for added precision, safety and performance and these are always good on any new vehicle, especially ones which are as costly as a AMG tuned Mercedes Benz estate. Drive tests are expected to commence soon and we should be able to get back to you with details soon. Stay tuned for more updates as news regarding this vehicle and its potential engine specs, are due to be revealed.

Current generation engines do not use Forced Induction, which as a result produce lesser power. A twin turbo charged engine should do the trick. We also expect a range of customizable options to be offered by Mercedes Benz soon, as they do so with every new vehicle launch. Standard rear wheel drive is available initially, although no official word regarding all wheel drive variants has come out so far.

Overall, we are happy with what is on offer and would love to get behind its wheels as soon as possible. A car this powerful should be taken out to the track for formal testing and we plan on doing the same with it. Daytime Running Light patterns look great on this vehicle and stay tuned as we come up with more pictures and spy images. Come back soon to catch up on our follow up articles.
