Next Generation Audi TT Coupe Nears Production Stages
|   Friday, January 31, 2014
Audi's latest TT is nearing production, latest images of this vehicle bear proof. Audi announced a launch date during Geneva Motor Show this March, along with showroom debut by end 2014. Audi recently showcased its TT based All Road Shooting Brake Concept at the Detroit Motor Show last week, which this creation managed to grab eyeballs at the event. Final tests are currently underway, while we should be notified of a successful launch quite soon.

This vehicle is based on Audi's latest MQB platform, which will feature 1.
and 2.0 liter petrol engines, with a 2.0 liter diesel variant. Apart from this core range, there could be other important power house launches in future, although Audi is not commenting on it right now. Their evolving nature is well noticed on both exterior and interior fronts, which will lend a fresh feel to this already beaten and bruised design.

Design cues made popular on their third generation TT Coupe will also be carried forward to this production variant, while a rugged version is also up for launch soon. Shooting Brakes and Cross over vehicles is the flavor of this season. Hence, Audi is working on aluminum chassis and body parts to reduce weight on this vehicle.

We could be looking at 288 BHP, 199 ft lb displacing engine variants, while an electric drive train displacing 402 BHP along with 280 ft lb of torque is also under consideration. The future looks promising for Audi, if it manages to successfully launch a fast hybrid production vehicle. Design features are highly important for end consumers. Hence, exterior styling is very important for the designing team.

Interiors trim levels were showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas earlier this year, although we could be looking at various trim levels on final production level cars. Radical modifications have taken up the automobile industry by storm and these changes include interior, exterior and performance parameters. Separate infotainment system has been done away with on this vehicle, as Audi is currently working on an integrated instrument cluster for its next generation vehicles.

A 12.3 inch touch screen device has been placed, which is in charge of satellite navigation and other infotainment measures installed in this vehicle. Audi claims this method will decrease general weight, while enhancing drive ability and general performance of this vehicle. We could be looking at a superior variant of a TT quite soon, although we will not be able to comment on precise driving performance, without taking this vehicle for a spin on real world track and road conditions.

Highly camouflaged exterior prove Audi's high secrecy policy revolving around this vehicle. Although we had expected nothing less from Audi, regarding a new vehicle launch. What do you think of this car and its impact in real world conditions? Do let us know. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Come back soon, as we bring you live updates from Audi's headquarters soon. Drive test reviews are on their way as we expect to get behind the wheel soon.
