New Lexus LS F Sport Premiere
|   Monday, May 08, 2017
The Auto Show in New York was the scene of major launches, important manufacturers on the automotive market were set to impress potential buyers. One of the most visited stands was, most certainly, that one of the Japanese from Lexus. For that purpose, they presented their new F Sport versions, dedicated to the LS 500 models.

The beginning of 2017 brought us the fifth generation Lexus LS sedan. This is the Japanese automaker's response to the German trio consisting of Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8.
The new models impressed by the additional note of aggressiveness with which they were blessed. Two months later, the Geneva Motor Show brought before the eyes the Lexus LS 500 hybrid version too.

However, for this year, those of Lexus have great plans. Now they have announced the release of F Sport version, dedicated both to the LS standard model, as well as to the hybrid model.

From the presented image we notice only the back of the model, which largely resembles that which we know from the standard models.
Even if the teaser images do not provide new information about the changes they are preparing for the F Sport versions, it does not mean they do not exist. More than likely, the new models will benefit from even more aggressiveness, an important feature for such models. It is also expected that the new model will make improvements to the steering wheel and sports seats, bring new suspension settings and a new set of alloy wheels.

In New York, however, was disclosed only the Lexus LS 500 F Sport version, equipped with the new V6 twin turbo engine with a displacement of 3.5 liters, which develops 420 hp and 600 Nm of torque and is mated to a new automatic transmission in 10 steps.

On the outside, the F Sport version is distinguished by of 20-inch rims shod in of 245 / 45RF20 tires on the front axle, and 275 / 40RF20 on the rear axle, the aggressive front grille, the aerodynamic attachments for lateral air intake of the bumper, a dark color for the exterior chrome elements, and "F Sport" logos on the front wings and boot lid. The white color, "Ultra White" is provided exclusively for the F Sport interpretation.

Inside, the F Sport version comes with sports seats with prominent side support, unique aluminum inserts, aluminum pedals, sport steering wheel and a dashboard focused towards sportiness, which was inspired by the Lexus LFA super car.

The F Sport versions will have performance similar to the conventional versions. Therefore, the Lexus LS 500 F Sport (420 hp) will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km / h) in 4.5 seconds and the hybrid version LS 500h F Sport (359 hp) will accelerate from 0 to 60 miles h in 5.2 seconds (0 to 100 km / h in 5.4 sec.). While the LS 500 version is offered with rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive on the North American market, in Europe it will be available only with four-wheel drive.
