New 2015 Ford Mondeo Is Ready for Orders
|   Wednesday, August 20, 2014
Ford has announced that the medium and high equipment versions of the new Mondeo will be offering top driving dynamics, innovative technology, refinement and sophisticated design and that they are available for orders and will reach the market by the end of the year.

Originally announced two years ago, the Ford Mondeo finally reaches the European market, and after the start of the Paris Motor Show in October, it will be available in showrooms.

The new 2015 Ford Mondeo will include the original versions of Trend and Titanium, and for the first time the Mondeo Hybrid. A basic version, Ambiente and Business Edition will be available early next year with new petrol and diesel engines, plus an optional AWD system.

The new Ford Mondeo will be available in the sedan with four and five doors as well as station wagon versions, specially developed for the European market. Weight will be 1507 kg to 1554 kg (3322 lbs to 3426 lbs). The wheels are 19 inches or 20 inches aluminum with a wheelbase of 2850 mm (112.2 inches). Sizes: length 4869 mm (191.7 inches), width 1852 mm (72.9 inches) and height 1476 mm (58.1 inches).

It is worth mentioning the car has a lot of chrome details. The side windows see chrome bezels. The exhaust system consists of two exhaust pipes with chrome strips.

The first European model that will be built on the new CD segment global platform, the new Ford Mondeo will debut with the new independent rear suspension, which improves refinement levels and offers a better dynamic performance. Furthermore, the bodywork is 10 percent more rigid than the previous Mondeo generation and the technology that improves handling performance includes Torque Vectoring Control system. This way it has become the most versatile and prompt in response Mondeo to this point.

The new generation has a range of engines that includes the 1.5 and 2.0 liter EcoBoost units at launch, and the ultra-efficient engine and surprisingly strong 1.0 EcoBoost (produced by Ford in Craiova, Romania). The unit named Engine of the Year for three consecutive years will join the range in early 2015.

A ECOnetic model will also be available, powered by the 1.6 turbo diesel, which emits just 94 g / km of CO2, with a 2.0 liter TDCi unit. The 2015 Ford Mondeo Hybrid has under the hood a system consisting of a 2.0 liter petrol engine, specially developed for this model, along with an electric motor powered by a 1.4 kWh rechargeable Li-Ion battery. Thus, the Ford Mondeo Hybrid is the first hybrid vehicle which the American manufacturer will produce in Europe (in Spain), providing emissions 99 g / km.

The new Ford Mondeo introduces for the first time adaptive LED lighting technology and an advanced version of the Active Park Assist, which now knows to park perpendicularly. Additional driver assistance systems include the Active City Stop, which can automatically brake at speeds up to 40 km / h to avoid an accident.
Among other technologies, the new Mondeo will benefit from multi/contour seats, with massage function, an electrically operated tailgate, Sync2 connectivity and integrated airbag seatbelts, an industry first.
