5. Street Tunnel Guoliang, China

We begin with a street that is something different by way of its realization: roads carved into the mountain by many locals in the Chinese village Guoliang. Before this was done, the whole village was cut off from the rest of civilization due to the surrounding mountains. Although the street is not so traveled, due to its construction it received the title of one of the most dangerous roads in the world.

Construction began in 1972. On this project 13 locals worked, led by their chief named Shen Mingxin. Finishing the project took five years and currently accidents occur due to drivers' carelessness. The street has a width of only 3.65 meters, so only enough for one lane traffic. It is 1.2 km (0.75 miles) long, 5 m (16 ft) tall and 4 m (13 ft) wide.

4. Karakoram Highway, Pakistan

Still in the mountains, this time in Pakistan where there is the Karakoram Highway that links Pakistan to China along the Karakoram mountain and crossing the Karakoram Pass at an altitude of 4,693 meters. The street is prone to landslides and flooding, at least in the area of Pakistan that is not paved.

However, the Karakoram highway remains an attraction for tourists and we find that more than 810 Pakistanis workers and 82 Chinese workers were killed either because of landslides or falls from a great height.

3. James Dalton Highway, Alaska

There is no surprise that the list of the most dangerous roads in the world we have mentioned roads from Alaska. The James Dalton Highway covers a demonic distance of 666 km, which was originally built in 1974 as a transport route.
Here, speed is limited to 80 km / h and all drivers are obliged to travel with headlights turned on regardless of time or weather conditions. The Highway passes through only three cities with a total population of only 60 people, the most isolated highway in the United States.

2. Commonwealth Avenue, Philippines

Located in the heart of Quezon, in the Philippines, the Commonwealth Avenue is one of the most dangerous roads in the world - it received the nickname "killer highway". The road is asphalted, stretching on a distance of about 12.4 km, going from 6 to 18 lanes.

This street has very poorly implemented rules, or even nonexistent, to which heavy traffic contributes, leading to hundreds of casualties among cyclists, pedestrians and two-wheeled motor vehicles every year.
The speed limit is 60 km / h, and statistics say that there are 3 to 5 accidents on a daily basis.

1. Street North Yungas, Bolivia

In Bolivia we find not only the most dangerous road in the world, but also the most famous. It's called the North Yungas road that stretches 69 km of gravel between La Paz and Coroico. From previous estimates, it appears that between 200 and 300 people die each year crossing the road.

The very narrow road climbs to an altitude of 4650 meters and is the place where annually around 26 vehicles fall into the abyss, tallying more than 100 victims.

Although no one is forced to choose this street to reach the destination due to the construction of a highway in close proximity, the public is still fascinated by this killer road. Tours for those who like adrenaline are organized, from 1990 onward, and the number of tourists passed 25,000.
