Mercedes Benz set to roll out the C250 Coupe Sports

Sports car manufacturers usually have their own special models under different names that are built by the best in class technology. An example of this would be the Audi S Class, Mercedes C Class, etc. Speaking of Mercedes Benz, the company has decided to launch the all new C 250 performance vehicle which the company claim, has been designed keeping in mind the AMG technology. The vehicle has been named the Mercedes Benz C 250 Coupe Sport and it lives up to its name.

The vehicle has been manufactured and tuned by the Mercedes Benz in house tuning centre and has been instilled with the Blue Efficiency technology to make the vehicle economical as well as a performing vehicle. This vehicle has a lot of features which are unknown to its basic sibling and as a result, it features better performance.

However, the C 250 Coupe Sports is not a typical AMG in terms of performance and price. However, it does have the basic performance enhancing features that make the AMG one of the most feared classes of vehicles. The 1.8 liter turbo charged engine displaces a healthy 201 BHP and the four cylinders are an added incentive. Another 2.2 liter diesel alternative is also available and that produces 201 BHP as well.

The chassis has been through some minor modifications in the form of a suspension tweak, couple that with additional dampers and springs with a unique camber tuning with more steering and a wider traction control. The vehicle becomes a very close resemblance of an AMG and as a result, it performs like one as well. Throttle remapping has been done and the ECU has been tweaked as well. The glove box and transmission have been tuned as well for optimum output and overall, the C 250 Coupe Sports is a typical sports machine that can be used for daily transportation as well.

The computer mapping has helped the automatic transmission system improve on its response timing and it also helps by downshifting rapidly in case of hard braking. Mercedes Benz is also providing an optional sports package at the time of purchase in case of special orders and this is available apart from the standard improvement in both interior and exterior bodywork. The C 250 Coupe Sports accelerates to 60 MPH from 0 MPH in close to 7.2 seconds and the vehicle sports a top speed of 149 MPH.

Priced at 31,925 Pounds, the C 250 Coupe Sports has been priced on the lower edge of things. However, the vehicle could have done with an improve in agility and top speed. It feels more like a family vehicle than a Sports Coupe. Nonetheless, it is a fun to drive vehicle with standard throttle response and the overall ride comfort is high.

The vehicle does sport a high level of equipments and trim and as a result the vehicle is highly comfortable. However, Mercedes Benz needs to upgrade the engine and fast as the vehicle is screaming for more power.
