Mercedes Benz Rumored to unveil the new C Class Fall 2014
|   Thursday, August 01, 2013
Mercedes Benz has revealed that the 2014 C Class will be launching sometime late this year. Images, rumored specifications of the vehicle and news are currently coming in although the company is officially yet to announce the date of unveil. The Mercedes Benz C Class has been designed to take on BMW's 3 Series head on and judging by the first glimpse of the vehicle, it sure looks like the formidable competitor.

The new C Class has been spotted testing with lesser camouflage than before raising hopes that this is the ultimate production version of the vehicle.
The C Class officially resembles the S and the E Classes. The Mercedes Benz C Class is heading off to production some time very soon and is currently undergoing tests near the Arctic Circle to test its winter capability.

Even though the images of the new C Class was taken from a distance, its resemblance to the current A Class and the S Class vehicles are unmistakable. The front end of the Class bears a large grille along with the three stared Mercedes Benz logo just at the front. The logo is flanked by two large head lamps which give the C Class a very large yet aggressive look.

The LED lamps add glamour to this vehicle which the C pillar is thicker than they used to be. The C Class looks more like the S Class from the front while the boot space of the vehicle is greater than that of the S Class. The rear bumper looks complete with a double nosed exhaust pipe. However, the Audi A4 and the BMW 3 Series are equally potent vehicles and the Mercedes Benz C Class will have a tough time competing with the others.

Considering the fact that Mercedes Benz is yet to announce an official launch date, the probable platform for the launch of the C Class is the Detroit Motor Show in January 2014. Mercedes Benz also plans on unveiling an Estate along with a very efficient range of diesel and petrol engines. The four cylinder engine technology was first used by Nissan and was built in America.

A hybrid model has also been planned to take on the Lexus IS 300h. Mercedes Benz has designed this vehicle on the MRA platform and is offering four wheel drive 4MATIC transmission system on the car. This technology is also being used for the first time to counter Audi's Quattro and BMW xDrive drive train. Safety measures are expected to be enhanced for Mercedes Benz wants to go head on with the new productions.

Traffic jam detecting cameras are also expected to be installed on the new C Class and the first vehicle to be unveiled is a cabriolet, as derived from the initial images. Mercedes Benz is also considering introducing a hard top convertible to the range although details of this vehicle have not been revealed. Fabric roof options are also available for people who like to maintain the classy look on their vehicle.
