|   Friday, October 12, 2012
The 2013 model of the Mercedes Benz G Wagon has been revealed and the vehicle is currently in its 33rd year of being in production. The vehicle was conceptualized keeping in mind the needs of the British Army and the vehicle is currently being sold under the disguise of the Mercedes Benz G class.

The G Wagon is still used by many nations across the globe for military purposes and the first and foremost reason of the G Wagon's popularity is the fact that this vehicle is totally hand crafted at the Mercedes Benz Graz plant in Austria.
Today, close to 5500 G Wagon's are made each year, out of which close to a hundred are sold in the United Kingdom.

The G class vehicles are generally off roaders and are purchased solely for the purpose of off road travelling. This is the basic characteristic that the G class retains from its original history of being the army's hot pick.
The vehicle is a gas guzzling monster and has the ability to tow 350 kg without the least amount of problems. The 2013 G class features a few significant changes and this vehicle has a new improved interior featuring a redesigned dash board and a new control panel setup.

The vehicle also features a new 7 inch touch screen device connected to the main frame of the vehicle and the advanced connectivity options of the vehicle along with safety and luxury measures mean that the G class is in a league of its own. The vehicle has the power of a roader with the luxury of an urban vehicle. The G class would make a perfect cross over and features connectivity to the Apple iPad.

The external view of the vehicle lends it an overall rugged and aggressive appeal and the styling has been kept simple to avoid overdoing the visual aesthetics. The obvious changes that are visible are the changes in the front and rear bumpers, the LED daytime running lights, electric windows and mirrors and the new grab bars at the end of the passenger's side.

The head rest and the floor mats also feature the sign G and this is to symbolize the G class. The roll cage bar, the front and rear air bags and the new window bags have all been put up for added safety. The overall finish of the vehicle has a certain level of harshness and this is in accordance with the overall feel of the G class. The leather seats have a scruffy feel to the, this is by no means uncomfortable although.

The hand built G class vehicles are priced over the top and this vehicle too sports a price tag of 82,945 Pounds. The vehicle has a top speed of 109 mph and accelerates to 60 MPH from 0 in less than 9 seconds. The all new G 350 is not a practical vehicle. However, it is perfect for the enthusiasts to take out off the road for the real thrill to begin.
