Mercedes Benz Reveal the Interior to Their Latest V Class Minivan
|   Monday, October 28, 2013
Mercedes Benz has finally disclosed interior details of its latest V Class MPV and this series replaces its much celebrated Viano. We expect this vehicle to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show, a few months from now, while its first lot should be available across showrooms by end 2014. The first vehicle in this class is currently under development and goes with the code name W447.

This vehicle will see the resurrection of Mercedes Benz's V Class since 2003 and is perfect for being used on commercial purposes.
Some of the high end modifications on this vehicle include latest Satellite Navigation and GPS system along with a dedicated touch screen device, integrated to electronic controls. Latest versions of COMMAND infotainment measures are also in place. Mercedes Benz has also taken special care of minor details and the leather covered steering wheel is proof of their expertise.

This vehicle has dual boot space with its rear windows opening separately than the others. This is important while unloading in urban areas, according to company insiders. This vehicle has been designed to occupy minimal space in urban parking conditions and hence is beneficial for commercial use in cities and metros. Additional driver assistance measures also find precedence in the V Class and this technology is similar to the one we find in S and E Class vehicles.

Safety measures are of primary concern while Mercedes Benz Intelligent Drive take care of most drive assistance features. Advanced parking assist keeps track of 260 degree views around this car and helps parking in city traffic. This is a tried and tested technology and is hence safe for practical use. Advanced use of laser and infrared cameras has been in place to turn this into reality.

Mercedes Benz is planning on introducing rugged versions of this vehicle even though we are not very sure if the company plans on launching off road versions of this vehicle. However, we are sure to get a decent value for money with this vehicle. This should provide perfect competition to Volkswagen's Multi van MPV. Details regarding exterior and performance are yet to be revealed and we expect the company to come out with these details before year end 2013.

Posh interiors along with personalization options have been showcased on the V Class and we expect a premium price tag for this vehicle. However, base versions should be available soon, featuring a convenient price tag. Rumors regarding prices have been spreading although we will not be commenting on pricing as Mercedes Benz is yet to officially announce costs. We are happy with what they have on offer and are looking forward to get out hands on one of these cars.

Although performance figures are not of major concern when you are talking about a minivan but interior space and boot capacity are of primary importance. Advanced engineering is also expected to make life easy during loading and unloading from its rear. We will be bringing you further details soon.
