Mercedes Benz Reveal the Interior on Their Much Awaited 2015 AMG GT
|   Friday, April 18, 2014
Mercedes Benz has skipped naming their founder Karl Benz, in a controversy surrounding their upgraded 2015 SLS GT. This new supercar is powered by a 4.0 liter twin turbocharged V8 petrol engine displacing 500 BHP. We are aware of a few technical specifications and exterior settings, although much about its exterior was still unknown. The German car makers have gone ahead and officially unveiled the interior of this vehicle.

Most of the components have been lifted off Mercedes Benz's C Class, while use of high quality materials in construction was evident.
Its dashboard is heavily sculptured and is covered in leather, along with its steering wheel. Use of carbon fiber inside the cabin is notable, while a multi functional steering wheel with various control setups and shifter paddles have been added for easier access.

The cabin is primarily dominated by a six round air vent, along with a free standing infotainment system, complete with a High Definition touch screen. Dimension wise, this vehicle is exactly the same as the outgoing SLS AMG, although performance wise, we cannot say the same. A high center console has been put in, much like its predecessor, while a standard race prepped dual clutch seven speed automated transmission system has been added.

The steering wheel has four round buttons, two of which boast rotator functions. Initial reports suggest that Mercedes Benz plans on offering four distinct drive modes on their GT. Variable dampers, struts and suspension adjustments have been made along with locking differentials and sports exhaust, to provide a complete sporty feel to this car. This vehicle will compete directly with Porsche's 911 in class, which comes with a variety of specific connectivity applications, unique to the GT.

Mercedes Benz will also be answering their critics, regarding less interior space. Massive aerodynamic upgrades have been made to its interior, which gives this vehicle a much needed boost around a track. Linear body panels are in place, along with sleeker lines around its whole body. Warning lights and spoilers, along with rear wings are in place, to complete its race car look.

The GT's body frame has spent a considerable amount of time under a wind tunnel, in order to fine tune aerodynamics. We can expect nothing but the best when it comes to a performance segment Mercedes Benz. This vehicle is expected to be showcased next week at New York, while insiders are tightlipped about any additional features, apart from the ones already unveiled. Codenamed the C190, this vehicle has sparked numerous rumors across global markets.

Its two seated seating arrangement has been retained, while change in its general layout is seen. Mercedes Benz revealed two new pictures, depicting its complete interior, which was done up in red and black leather. Details are to be revealed next week. Hence, stay tuned for more. Like any other AMG, performance is expected to be at an optimum level and we are patiently waiting for a test run on a production model. Come back soon for details.
