Mercedes Benz Reveal Next generation S Class Coupe
|   Thursday, February 20, 2014
An image of the next generation Mercedes Benz S Class Coupe, has been leaked online and we bring you live updates from the internet. The company plans to officially reveal this vehicle at the Geneva Motor Show in March this year, even though the hype has been high across various nations, which could see an official launch soon. Even though we are currently unaware Mercedes Benz's plans of selling this vehicle, fans do not seem to care.

This vehicle features an advanced tilt function, which has just been revealed and is capable of leaning into corners.
It will be a part of the vehicle's standard kit, when it launches in certain markets in end 2014. Mercedes Benz calls this technology, their Magic Body Control and is being officially tested on this vehicle for the first time.

It also adds a range of comfort features to this car, which should take it a step ahead of primary rival – Bentley's Continental GT. This vehicle will replace Mercedes Benz's latest CL Coupe from the top slot, not just in terms of performance, but also on terms of refinement and exterior appeal. Insiders claim that the designing team has given it a chiseled look, which makes it more appealing than their current two door form.

Codenamed C117, this vehicle should draw power from a 4.6 liter twin turbo charged V8 petrol engine, displacing 448 BHP (20 BHP greater than their last form) along with 516 ft lb of torque. Mercedes Benz is also expected to showcase this engine in the S500 Coupe, while standard rear wheel drive is present in all variants. Buyers are also set to receive optional 4Matic transmission on this vehicle for the first time.

Mercedes Benz however confirmed that the S500 will not be their first launch this year, as they plan on launching a 577 BHP displacing 5.5 liter V8 engine on their S63 AMG Saloon, which will debut along with its Coupe variant, at the New York Motor Show in March this year. Even though official confirmation is yet to arrive, we are expecting petrol variants to be launched first, followed by diesel and hybrid models.

If rumors are to be believed, a 516 BHP displacing S600 Coupe is on its way. This vehicle will displace around 612 ft lb of torque, with Magic Ride Control as standard. Stiffness has been taken to an all new level by Mercedes Benz and we are waiting impatiently to get behind the wheel of the latest S Class Coupe and Saloon models. Standard specifications will be launched on British soils, although we expect a supped up variant soon.

Mercedes Benz first introduced their suspension tilt concept back in 2001, with their F400 Carving Concept. Even though the vehicle failed to make it into production, we were left astonished with their new technology. Engineers have been working on new methods to make it suitable for practical work and reduce chances of skidding. A mounted camera records the action every time you lean into a corner.
