Mercedes Benz Plans on Unveiling Fuel Efficient Vehicles in A and B Class
|   Saturday, November 16, 2013
Mercedes Benz has just expanded it's A and B Class vehicles with a new fleet, based on advanced ECO SE all wheel drive train. The first vehicles to be unveiled are the A180 CDI SE and the B180 CDI SE. Both these vehicles claim to offer a generous fuel efficiency of 74.3 MPG to 78.5 MPG along with Co2 emission equaling 92 g/km to 98 g/km. The outgoing model is less fuel efficient and this as a result makes the new variant desirable in all senses.

Mercedes Benz applies similar modifications to both its A and B Class vehicles while we expect more launches soon.
Tax benefits are expected as a result while major performance change has not been reported. This means that drive dynamics of both these vehicles are at par with other vehicles in its range. Therefore, its eco technology is an additional enhancement.

Mercedes Benz claims that both vehicles are range toppers in class when it comes to power, torque, refinement, aerodynamics, weight saving techniques and power train modifications. Advanced 4MATIC transmission system gels well with the drive train of this vehicle while power displacement is well controlled that way. AMG is yet to fine tune this vehicle while additional trim levels should be provided once things start falling in place.

Use of electro hydraulic axles debuted in this vehicle and this efficiently gives a miss to the multi disk clutch unit while delivering maximum power to its rear wheels. Mercedes Benz claims base prices are set to start at £21,965 and £22,950 respectively for the A180 CDI SE and B180 CDI SE although high end models should sport a premium price tag based on these figures.

On its exterior front, this vehicle is large and well spaced while attention to minor details give it a refined edge over its competitors in its range. We are waiting patiently for a drive test as we would like to check out its advanced drive train functionalities, which we are told should be, used in future vehicles from Mercedes Benz. Stay tuned for latest updates, news, drive reviews and pictures.
