Mercedes Benz looks forward to showcasing the G Force at the Los Angeles Motor Show 2012

Mercedes Benz is planning a new vehicle in the G Class that will take on the Land Rover head on. The all new G Force Concept which was showcased recently, is a poised competition to the Range Rover and Mercedes Benz seems to have done a great job with the vehicle. The vehicle has been introduced as a seven seated vehicle camouflaged as a Highway Patrol Vehicle and it is set to be formally showcased at the Los Angeles Motor Show 2012.

The technical specifications of the vehicle have not been given as of yet.
However, the details could be revealed at the Los Angeles Motor Show if things go well. The G Force has been introduced to challenge three new launches in the Range Rover segment and Mercedes Benz plans to rival Land Rover in all three categories with its launches. Mercedes Benz has been eyeing the premium SUV segment for quite some time now and with the launch of the G Force, the company wants to be heard once and for all.

While the vehicles from Range Rover will be based on the old platform developed by Land Rover, Mercedes Benz has designed its very own platform for the G Force and this could be a major reason for the vehicle's high sales figures. The original iconic G Class vehicle was introduced as a rival to the Range Rover and Mercedes Benz has finally come up with a modern day version. Mercedes Benz is hoping to create a whole new era with the launch of this vehicle and this could be the beginning for a while new generation of off road vehicles from Mercedes Benz.

The G Force has been styled at the Mercedes Benz design centre in California and its off road characteristics have been clearly placed on the exterior. This is however the prototype version of the car and the designs of the final road going vehicle is still to be decided. The petitions for the new designs have been submitted and the final word is yet to arrive. The G Force has a whole lot of shafts and bold lines highlighting the exterior design of the vehicle and this enhances the overall appearance of the vehicle.

On the exterior front, the vehicle looks quite aggressive with a mean approach to things. In fact the vehicle looks meaner than the latest generation of the Land Rover. Mercedes Benz is all set to make an impression at the Los Angeles Motor Show this year with the G Force and with the improvement in the drive train; the vehicle is poised to make a mark.

The vehicle is powered by a hydrogen powered electric motor which has been mounted on the rear end the Hydro Tech converter has been placed which stores the energy within the broad cells of this concept vehicle. The G Force can travel 800 miles without the need for recharge and this is one of the greatest advantages of this vehicle. With it's off road capability, the G Force is one of the best launches this year.
