Mercedes Benz gets serious on security with S600 guard
|   Sunday, August 10, 2014
Mercedes Benz has taken security features a little too seriously. They have released an all new S600 Guard, which is quite similar to the standard S600 other than the fact that it is bullet proof and bomb proof. All that has changed is its body weight and capability of withstanding terrorist attacks.

A layer of steel has been incorporated in between outer skin and inner structure. Then there is some splinter protection added for extra safety. Finally there is a layer of glass coated with polycarbonate on the inner portion, as a final desperate safety measure.
Windshields are also pretty tough.

With all these in place, it can protect from military rifles. These bullets travel at twice the speed of handgun bullets. It can also save you from splinters generated in small scale explosions and grenade attacks. Targeted audience for this car is big names in corporate world and rich businessmen.
