Mercedes Benz recently upgraded one of the vehicles in their performance oriented C Class segment, the C 250 CDI. The diesel engine C 250 CDI is the best C Class Mercedes Benz in terms of performance, owing to its superb driving experience and smooth handling capabilities.
The introduction of an AMG sports kit has further pushed up the performance of the car and the upgraded version of the AMG has a sportier exterior and a carefully planned interior design to appeal to the customers as well.

The AMG sports version has an advanced sports package installed in the already over charged vehicle and the visuals of this appeals to all. With sportier lines and a new chrome grille in place, the car scores over its predecessor in terms of performance as well as design.

The interior of the C 250 CDI sports edition features an enhanced electronics cluster with an advanced 3 analogue dial, an improved tachometer, an HD 11.4 cm TFT color display and a new soothing color schemes. All these factors combine to lend the car a dynamic feel and sophistication to the C 250 CDI.

The AMG sports version also features a black stainless steel sports pedal and a black fabric interior. The new floor mats also feature the AMG printed over it and the gear shaft has aluminum plating and this lends a sophisticated feel to the interior.

The exterior of the C 250 CDI is now modified in true AMG style and features the design patterns like the side panels and the front and rear aprons. The 17 inch light alloy sports rim lends the car an aggressive look and is designed to perform to an optimum level, so that the maximum output from the sports engine is extracted.

The front brake calipers also have Mercedes Benz etched on them and an advanced disk braking system with a new improved suspension are some of the design modifications which bring out the optimum performance of the car, while providing safety and comfort to the driver.

The advanced suspension of the AMG 250 CDI absorbs the bumps and stops it from proceeding to the interior of the vehicle. At high speeds the suspension does a lot of work and practically holds the car firmly to the ground. The exterior design of the previous AMG had to be modified to fit in the new engine and this has been done to achieve the best results possible.

Priced at $ 69,900, the AMG features a 2.1 L 2,143 cc displacing Inline 4 diesel engine producing 150 kW @ 4,200 rpm and 500 Nm @ 1,600 – 1,800 rpm. Apart from this, the car features Mercedes designed Agility Control steering, speed sensitivity, 4 wheel ventilated disk braking, and rear adaptive brake, an advanced brake assist system, ABS, an electronic stabilizer with accelerated skid controls and an agility control system with selective damping.

The car is set for a 2012 launch and has stirred up the market. The car is expected to do well in the global market and this is definitely going to give the rivals a reason to worry about.
