Mercedes Benz Fall Behind Audi and BMW in Global Sales
|   Thursday, June 19, 2014
Mercedes Benz is currently ranked third, in the global luxury car sales record, after arch rivals BMW and Volkswagen Group. Both BMW and Volkswagen subsidiary Audi, have setup strong foothold in the developing Chinese auto industry. Mercedes Benz has fallen back in this sphere, which is a major setback in their stride.

China is currently the second largest automotive market in the world, right after the United States. Judging by current statistics, China will take over, as the number one auto market, within the next decade.
This makes it a very important market for local and international players.

China currently features 78 vehicles, per 1000 people and this equation will only rise from this situation onwards. Rise of Audi and BMW sales, has affected Mercedes Benz by a huge margin, which takes up quite a lot of space, in their overall brand reputation. For more updates regarding this topic, stay tuned!
