Mercedes Benz C63 AMG Spotted testing at Nurburgring
|   Monday, October 28, 2013
The latest Mercedes Benz C63 AMG has been spotted testing at Nürburgring. Spy images have been revealed and although the vehicle has been heavily camouflaged, we still managed to uncover bits about its exterior design. This vehicle has left Mercedes testing facilities and is on its way to global temperature tests. Hence, we can safely assume that this vehicle is near completion and we could soon expect it to be formally revealed.

However, this prototype features less camouflage than its previous rendering, hence large front bumpers and air intakes can be seen without much difficulty.
Mercedes Benz has introduced dual exhaust pipes along with a modified rear bumper on this vehicle. Powering this vehicle is a 4.0 liter four cylindered turbo charged V8 engine although we cannot confirm power displacements owing to information shortage.

However, we expect this engine block to be lifted off its SLS AMG as it was previously caught being used in performance tests. This engine block is capable enough and should be able to provide the performance figures expected off a C63 AMG. Insiders claim that we will witness the patent 7G transmission system on this vehicle while its nine-speed automatic is currently undergoing tests for use in future models.

We could expect its use in future E Class vehicles. Mercedes Benz promises standard rear wheel drive on its new vehicles while 4Matic four wheel drives are available as optional. This vehicle is expected to make a formal entry into global markets following the Detroit Motor Show in January while its first batch should arrive in showrooms later that year. Performance aspects of this vehicle are unknown although we expect greater body stability and balance owing to its low center of gravity.

Advanced electronic measures have been added to give this vehicle enhanced drive feel although most of these electrical drive assistance measures such as Traction Control, Electronic Stability Control etc are quite common in all high end vehicles. Performance similarities are being drawn to Porsche's 911 although Mercedes Benz has come up with the SLS AMG for taking on sports coupes such as the 911.

C63 AMG however has its specified use as a sports sedan and we expect it to fulfill this need effectively. If we consider its predecessor we should be clearly able to pin point its performance aspects. Mercedes Benz is known for its smooth acceleration and handling and the C63 AMG should not be any different. Exterior modifications are bold and muscular and that includes its large sports rims. We are not sure if there will be optional rim sizes but the standard rims complement this vehicle effortlessly.

We are not sure about the head lamp design although Daytime Running Lights are common in all modern designs. Other electronic features include rear parking sensors, Land change warning and parking cameras. We are on a lookout for latest developments and revelations. Stay tuned for latest news, reviews and drive tests as we will bring it to you at the earliest possible moment.
