Mercedes Benz Announces Much Awaited C Class
|   Wednesday, October 23, 2013
Mercedes Benz has finally revealed its much awaited C Class vehicles and the company seems to have been highly intrigued by luxury components as they were designing this vehicle. Lucky for us, this vehicle is capable of taking on most luxury sedans in its market strata while performance is at an all time high. Mercedes Benz plans on launching a four door sedan initially for customers while wile its two door counterpart should soon hit global markets.

This vehicle should be officially unveiled at Detroit while the first batch is expected to arrive by mid 2014. This vehicle is very different from its current counterpart while key changes include its large rear wheel drive train, which is shared with the S and E Class vehicles. Officials have revealed that the C Class will get an additional lift back version which has been designed to take on BMW's 3 Series GT and Audi's A5.

This lift back version however should be available by 2015. Mercedes Benz has designed a new platform known as MRA, which should also be used beneath its GLK SUV, which is also expected by 2015. The best part about the MRA platform is its ability to stretch. Mercedes Benz plans on giving its vehicles a more up-market feel hence these moves are quite important for the vehicles in general.

This new platform is 40 mm larger than its predecessor which gives it a spacious interior. This gives this vehicle greater load capacity and interior volume. Boot space has been increased while head and legroom is significantly high. Inner body structure has been made stronger while ground clearance has been lowered. This makes this vehicle more street friendly while enhancing general aerodynamics and stability.

Weight saving measures is in place and this should enhance the general drive dynamics of this car. Remodeled interior and exterior are the major attractions of this vehicle and we expect interior trim to be overhauled altogether. Mercedes Benz has gives the new C Class vehicles a rather cohesive appeal and we expect this very aspect to work in favor of this vehicle.

We are confident about a nine inch touch screen device put in by Mercedes Benz and its primary task is infotainment. Advanced connectivity measures include Bluetooth, USB and other primary data connectivity. Satellite Navigation is also in place and this enhances the overall appeal of this car. Insiders claim that Mercedes Benz has outdone itself with this latest C Class and quality of interior trim and electronic components and we expect nothing less from Mercedes Benz.

Competition in the luxury sedan and coupe segment is high with German players taking up a bulk portion. Although other European brands are also present Mercedes Benz primarily competes with the likes of Audi, BMW, Bentley and Rolls Royce among others. They have been trying to gain support from economic sectors as well while luxury vehicles are also in production. The C Class should be its wild card into competitive market segments. Stay tuned for more updates.
