Mercedes Announces Prices of Two of the Most Anticipated Vehicles of the Quarter
|   Monday, August 05, 2013
Mercedes Benz recently unveiled the pricing of two of the most anticipated vehicles of the quarter, the 2014 C63 AMG Edition 507 and the 2014 SLS AMG Black Edition Series. While the SLS AMG Black Edition Series is priced at a premium $276,800, the C63 sedan sports a somewhat somber price tag of $70,925 while the coupe could be owned for a respectable $73,452.

Mercedes Benz also confirmed that the SLS AMG will be available across showrooms post August 2013.
This means that the hype around the vehicle is definitely building. The SLS AMG Black Edition was first showcased at the Los Angeles Motor Show in November 2012 and this car managed to woo the audiences with its sheer presence. This is a special edition vehicle with an abrupt power to weight ratio equaling 6.12 pounds per horse.

This is massive performance and nothing short of which could justify the Black Edition tagline associated with the car. Powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine displacing 622 BHP @ 7500 RPM along with 468 ft lb of torque, the SLS AMG Black Edition is capable of accelerating from 0 - 60 MPH within 3.5 seconds. The SLS AMG Black Edition was taken for a spin around the track and this proved once again why the gull wing is respected worldwide.

The car is the best example of what every performance car deserves and Mercedes Benz has not left any stone unturned when it comes to the SLS AMG Black Edition. Mercedes Benz has also introduced the latest Electric Drive to the car and this is the most dynamic and powerful technology from Mercedes Benz at the moment.

The C63 AMG on the other hand is a much sober vehicle, designed to take on the executive class. This vehicle is sporty but with an attitude and is expected at showrooms by the end of the month. Powered by a 6.2 liter V8 engine tuned by AMG, the C63 AMG sports a multi clutch seven speed automatic transmission system displacing power to the required place at the right time.

Additional parts on the C63 AMG include a wider grille, exterior mirror, Daytime Running Lights etc which enhance the way the car looks. These also give the C53 AMG a mean appeal which is well complemented by its performance. Mercedes Benz is planning a hybrid version of the car soon enough although details regarding the specification are yet to be revealed. This year promises to be quite an entertaining one, courtesy Mercedes Benz and the range of innovative products on offer from the firm.

Faster pace needs to be complemented by stronger brakes and this is taken care of well by the bigger ceramic brake calipers installed on the car. The engine on the C63 AMG Edition 507 displaces a healthy 451 BHP which is sufficient to turn heads with its exhaust note while scare people on the road with performance. Both these vehicles are performance toppers in their own class and AMG needs no introduction.
