McLaren Sells Out Every Last Unit of the P1
|   Sunday, November 17, 2013
McLaren has successfully sold out its entire stash of P1s, initially designed for sale. While its last few vehicles are yet to be delivered to the clientele, the vehicles are ready for delivery in Europe. Hence, it is just a matter of days before McLaren sells out its entire lot. A unit of this high end, range topping vehicle was sold in America, Asia and Middle East, early next year while Europe was set to receive its share of goodies by year end.

However, the range of economic instability in Europe forced many potential buyers to back out earlier this year while many others cancelled shipment owing to financial crisis. This was the primary reason why McLaren found it difficult to sell on home soil. However, all this is about to change quick as McLaren successfully pushed for sales at Pebble Beach, when it showcased its latest P1 in full flair.

It is impossible not to notice a P1 and if you have the buying capability, it is even more difficult to avoid making a purchase. McLaren successfully sold an F1 at an auction at Pebble Beach for a whopping $8.47 Million. This made it hard for people to stay away from noticing this brand. Confirmation of high technical specifications and low timings around Nurburgring earlier this month further heightened things.

These pushed up desirability and sales. McLaren confirmed their plans not to manufacture the P1 on a mass scale and this decision was taken a major part of the global population will not be able to afford one of these. Secondly, large scale availability would mean lower brand value and demand. This prompted McLaren to serve on a first come first serve basis.

McLaren have so far completely built and delivered 12 units of the P1 while more cars are currently under production. Existing customers have been asked to rate their experiences with the car while potential customers have been asked to state their preferences while designing and manufacturing their vehicle. McLaren is offering one of the largest modifications range in class and it is not every day that people step up and ask for a Million Pound vehicle.

People willing to pay such a sum need satisfaction and hence every factor combined has allowed McLaren to offer what they currently are. About 75 percent of current P1 customers have requested for special designs for their vehicles from McLaren's Special Operations although this will push prices above the Million Pound mark. On road tests of this vehicle have been conducted in the past and experts agree that this is a one of a kind street legal Formula One vehicle.

McLaren had promised to deliver a vehicle which would be the ultimate driver's fantasy and seems like they have delivered on their promise. The P1 however will not be McLaren's flagship for very long as the company is already working on another vehicle which would be outclassing the P1 as well. This however is unconfirmed reports and we will bring you exciting news once we have concrete evidence.
