Mazda 2 gets unveiled before premier at Thailand's Motor Show
|   Wednesday, December 03, 2014
The all new sedan of new generation, Mazda 2 has been unveiled even before its official premiere in Thailand's Motor Show to be held on 28th November. Mazda's entry level model having three box styles holds the signature of hatchback curves. On the first look, it is avoiding pitfalls of a lot ill proportioned small sized sedans falling into.

This production model will be shown in Thailand Auto Show which will have SkyActiv enabled 1.5 liter turbo charged diesel engine.
But for Australian customer's 1.5 liter petrol based engine is more familiar and also it's other features which are likely to be 79 kW and 139 NM torque or 81 kW and 141 NM torque.

Though there is a lot of info yet to be revealed regarding this model by the company itself but many details and a few images of it has been leaked and published in various websites. According to few leaked images, this sedan will be featuring space impinge gooseneck hinges.

Few fans have raised the question whether this Mazda 2 will be provided in Australia or not. There is no official response to this question yet but the senior manager of public relations for Mazda Motors, Australia has spoke that this car is remained under only evaluation. Company staffs are very happy with the current looks of the sedan but the final decision is yet to be taken. However within a few months the final output will be disclosed in media.

Mazda is yet to offer any version of its sedan 2 because it has discontinued its previous generation models in early days of 2011 since a switch had occurred in sourcing. Other sedans of frontline light cars are discontinued recently which includes Ford Fiesta, Nissan Almera and Kia Rio. Typically, Hatchbacks hold the majority of sales for both small and light vehicles.

If the Company decides to launch it in Australia, this model will have to compete against Honda City, Hyundai Accent, Mitsubishi Mirage and Holden Barina like booted versions. Before a few weeks, new generation hatch Mazda 2 was launched with a mission to become Australia's top most wanted light car.

All the sub compact hatches turned to sedans to make the proportions even, but as per the images leaked about this model, Mazda 2 has not been like that. If you have not heard about Mazda 2 then you are committing a big mistake as this is a part of the standalone series. The only quibbles have overly large rear lamps and there are many other benefits to get from this baby sedan.

In the Thailand Auto Show, both hatchback and sedan will be revealed officially but they have not revealed about its market launching date still yet. It is going to be definitely better than its predecessor. Australia's ever winning top rank in selling is Hyundai i20. Mazda 2 has the capability to challenge Hyundai's i20 in this year as per company's expectation. They believe that the new features of it like fuel saving and excellent look will win the hearts of fans.
