Lovely cars showed off in Sonoma Raceway's sixth season
|   Thursday, April 23, 2015
The Sears Point, otherwise known as Sonoma Raceway has just been held and it was its sixth version of this event. It was a perfect weather to introduce some new amazing cars such as BMW E36, Mazda's RX-7 which were literally crashing with each other. Only a few teams were not fined, but rest had to pay for the penalty and missed out to win the trophies. But congratulations to all the winners, who got the deserving trophies under their belt.

Teams which managed to get most number of laps or lifted Class A trophies are not the ones who created that much of excitement.
One team was looking really horrible to win races in various situations and it is none other than LeMons, the BMW E30s covered with tablecloth. The early days of LeMons were not that much exciting as they were having not much of successes. In last edition, Flying Scotsmen performed like champions and did spending all round wining performance in Utah races.

This year, the mighty Flying Scotsmen won the Class-A battle by a good margin with their 1985 BMW's 325. So they deserve the congratulation for being one of the top racer teams. In P2, surprisingly Flying Scotsmen, the BMW team ended last and this is happening first time in their total 177 races till yet. The same team won Utah with Volvo 745 last summer. For the first time, same team with different cars finished at rank one and two in which first was in South Fall during 2012 and another in Hong North with Mazda MX3 which won both P1 and P2.

During Class B, Ford Pinto with T GT model and Pinto Bean outlasted in Fiero Libre Fiero and in Panting Polar-Bear having Ford's Crown Victoria who won the race by a lap. It is hard to classify Volvo 240 since this car has the ability to reach to top speed very fast and can surprise the rivals.

The 1987 244 has a stock suspension with automatic transmission which lets it break some important part in each race. So there was a possibility of having a long shot for contending LeMons class, but not in this year. This year nothing damaged and driver came out from his seat comfortably. The Rep-Eat Offenders got 43rd place in total but won the Class C race. Volkswagen Vanagon fought well against them but finished next to them.

Gap had presented an award for Child Labor and it was owned by 2001 Mazda's Protégé which was campaigned by Blue-Oak School near Napa. They impressed everyone with the beautiful painted and designed cars. The supporting kids were very happy as they could enjoy a weekend full of racing. However, only people of age 16 or more are allowed for this race but car builders don't have any age conditions.

So much of races by rookies with excitement, madness and still under control caused metal bent by Chevy's 1984 Caprice sedan. Considering first five races of this event, one would think that Point Breakers are number one Enemies of public.
