Lexus Updates the GX 460 While Cutting Down on the Price
|   Tuesday, August 27, 2013
Lexus has finally revealed the first look of its new 2014 mid segment SUV – the GX 460. The vehicle has finally been remodeled and quite successfully too. The all new LED Daytime Running Lights along with the bumper mounted fog lamps also look good on this vehicle. Clear tail lamps have been added on the rear section of the GX 460 and they enable clearer vision while making the look cleaner.

The exterior looks complete while the interior has also been given a range of facelifts which includes an additional eight inch touch screen on the center console.
The interior also features premium quality matt black espresso wood which further lifts the general mood of the interior. The power train has not been updated much and the 301 BHP displacing 4.6 liter petrol engine has been carried forward to this machine.

The engine is mated to a six speed transmission system while the car sits on a four wheel drive train. It is a decent off roader while the Torsen slip differentials cover for most of the terrain the SUV is pushed into. Overall, the vehicle performs just the way it is supposed to, even off the tarmac. Technical advancements have been made to the GX 460 and a rear view camera, HD radio weather along with traffic information and Bluetooth and USB connectivity have been added to the SUV.

Dynamic Active Suspension is a potent addition while hydraulic dampers ensure maximum safety and comfort at all times. These additions are all part of the standard package. Lexus has also added a trailer sway control system on the 2014 version. The best feature about this deal is that, Lexus has reduced the overall price of the car by $4,710, which brings down the price tag on the car to $49,085.

This is way too much car for the money and is hence the perfect deal. The Premium Package on the GX 460 includes ventilated front seats, satellite navigation, paring assistance, heated rear seats as well as a three stage climate control system. Lexus is also offering 18 inch alloyed rims as standard on the car while an Advanced Pre Collision system and Driver Monitoring system has also been added to the car.

The body structure on the car has been redesigned completely and close to ninety percent of the 2014 model is new. This is massive transformation considering the time the GX 460 has spent in the market. The front grille has been redone along with the side panels and the complete effect is beyond definition.

Lexus confirms that the GX 460 will be available at dealerships soon although a specific launch date is yet to be announced. The 2014 GX 460 has all the features that the top ranged predecessor had while sporting an extra discount on the base price of the car. Lexus has outdone itself completely on this car while the company expects average fuel economy measuring 15 to 20 MPG. A top speed test is yet to be conducted on the GX 460.
