Lexus Teases its Latest Concept Vehicle
|   Friday, August 23, 2013
Lexus has just revealed a single teaser image of the latest concept car which is to make its official debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September this year. Although details regarding the vehicle are yet to be revealed, the teaser shows exactly what to expect from Lexus this year. The teaser only showcases the front grille and the headlamps even though a futuristic concept is clearly visible.

The design of the headlamps are similar to that of the 2015 IS Sedan, although whether the same pair has been used is yet to be ascertained.
This design was initially showcased on the Lexus LC CC and has been used on many occasions since. The upcoming RC Coupe is also expected to feature similar designing trends. Lexus is working on a third model which is yet to be revealed and the designing trends are expected to be carried forward to the vehicle as well.

Lexus is currently working on the new model for a 2014 Tokyo Motor Show launch while work on the RC is nearing an end. The RC should be able to reach showrooms by the end of the year and should rival vehicles such as the BMW 4 Series and the Audi A5. Lexus has also hinted at an RC F performance edition although work on the vehicle is yet to start.

The Lexus RC Series is being developed solely for the track and this vehicle will participate in the Japanese Touring Car GT Series Races initially while they can be used in International races. If Lexus does reveal the RC next month, chances are that the specifications are to be revealed as well. Therefore, details will be posted as soon as Lexus unveils the car with the details.

Different auto shows provide the best platforms for the various car launches and Frankfurt is the perfect location for cars such as the new Lexus concept. It has the style and the performance and this should give the car enough hype to make it last through the initial days of the track. Lexus is also working on the new GS 300h hybrid sedan, although work on the car is almost complete.

The cars are getting ready for an end 2013 launch and although the latest concept is not going to be available as a production version anytime soon, Lexus could contemplate bringing out a street legal version based on the RC Series. The GS 300h is a work of engineering brilliance and the car features a 2.3 liter engine mated to a hybrid power train. This gives it sufficient amount of power along with better fuel efficiency, which as a result gives it more competition friendly.

Lexus is hopeful that its dealership networks around the world will get the first batch within January 2014, although the dealerships are not promising anything. This is an exciting time for all Japanese motorsports fan as the big trio is coming up with their latest Touring GT 2015 models, all of which are set for early 2014 launches.
