Lexus Reveals Plans for 2014 CT200h
|   Friday, January 31, 2014
Lexus has promised launching their face lifted CT200h from £20,995 soon. Exterior modifications on this vehicle are huge, which has also gone a long way in modifying the general ergonomics of this vehicle. Engine modifications have also been done to decrease CO2 emissions, while enhancing fuel efficiency, while official figures claim emissions in the range of 94 g/km to 88 g/km. 16 and 15 inch rims are available as standard fits on all variants of this vehicle, while front, rear bumpers and grille have been modified, to produce a whole new effect.

Official prices are yet to be confirmed, yet we believe final prices to be within £20,995, a sharp £1,000 reduction since their last generation vehicle. Top level trim levels however cost a fortune as compared to these prices, while major ergonomic changes make the 2014 model, a hard hitter and commercially viable.

Basic dimensions make this car suitable for urban driving, while direct handling and enormous throttle response enable efficient freeway driving as well. The body shell has been stiffened quite a bit, which increases structural rigidity. However, stability is not very high, as adhesive use decreases reliability. We are however confident of proper performance, even though its tail gate features quite a bit of spot welding marks.

An anti roll bar has been added to enhance safety and stability on this vehicle, while dampers and springs keep additional body roll in check. We need comprehensive drive tests to determine actual feel and refinement level, although various interior trim levels also determine drive ability. All engine variants work well with a conventional automated CVT transmission system, which promises linear power delivery.

A quieter and more balanced air intake system is in place, which enhance driving experience, along with the advanced CVT transmission system. Linear power delivery is very important in order to provide a complete drive experience. Materials used in this build are top notch, while additional electronic measures have been added to enhance appeal. Lexus plans on starting deliveries by March 2014 and we will keep you posted. Come back soon for more news and live updates.
