Lexus Australia launches the scholarship program for local vehicle designers!
|   Sunday, November 18, 2012
There are many local automobile fanatics and designers who are good enough to give latest and innovative design ideas and Lexus Australia is taking this up seriously. They have already launched a program of design scholarship for those local designers who have shown expertise and capability in the field. This program has been launched by Lexus Australia and Melbourne movement with whom they have collaborated to bring forth this movement in the automobile industry.

It must however be mentioned that Melbourne Movement is one of the most prominent non-profit organizations in the country which has lately shown immense interest in the industrial and design industry. Presently the Japanese automobile companies are concentrating mostly on the designs of the exterior and interiors of the cars and vehicles they are producing.

Following the trend of the movement, Lexus is also focusing on the designs and hence opting for innovative design ideas. Perhaps that is why they are launching this program to seek out capable and efficient designers for themselves and for the sake of the company's future innovations.

This movement in the automobile and design industry has taken a leap into the global arena with the help of Lexus as they are taking the trends seriously and are taking immense initiative to make this movement go global. To initiate and influence the process directly, Lexus has also introduced the Lexus Design Awards. It is being thought that this initiative is going to encourage new designers in the industry and hence bring about notable changes in the world of designs.

The Lexus design Awards is open for all people all over the world. The interested ones are supposed to submit their own unique design in the company's official website via the internet. With all the designs that are submitted over time, six judges in the panel will be choosing the best ten designs of all. All the chosen finalists will be attending "Milan Design Week" and among them only two designers will be granted the five million yen stipend to work on their designs and give them shape in the future.

The top two designers will get the chance to create the prototypes of their submitted designs. On the other hand in Australia, the best two designers will be sponsored by the company itself so that they can attend the Designers week in Tokyo. Among the panel of judges the president Kiotaka Ise, of Lexus International is present.

The chief executive of the Lexus Australia, Tony Cramb said, "we are trying t give the locally known designers the opportunity to succeed with the help of our scholarship program. This way the young designers will be encouraged. It is evident that the company is very much attentive in getting new designs now.

Even though, Lexus previously never used to emphasize on the designs, it has won more than a few awards for the numerous designs it has launched. One of the cars is even exhibited in the New York Guggenheim museum. Perhaps this initiative in the design front is being taken to build the brand even better and combat the other prestigious and global vehicle manufacturers of the world.
