Land Rover Unveils Smaller Evoque XL
|   Thursday, October 17, 2013
Land Rover is set to launch a larger and more spacious version of its Evoque. Jaguar Land Rover plans on placing this vehicle – the Evoque XL - between the Evoque and the Sport and according to a recent study by experts, the company is well on its way to achieving what it had originally set out to achieve. This vehicle has been codenamed the L560 and should be available within 2016.

This report also claims that Jaguar Land Rover plans on building this vehicle on an all aluminum chassis, much like its current generation counterpart.
Jaguar Land Rover has been on a lookout for newer technology and ways to design vehicles and it looks like the company has found out ways to turn this into reality. This vehicle will be manufactured at the current plant in Solihull while insiders suggest that this vehicle could achieve sales targets equaling 80,000 by end of the next fiscal year, since launch.

Jaguar Land Rover has worked hard on its new products since the company was given a new lease of life half a decade ago and its products have managed to appeal to a wider class of the market strata, especially in growing markets and this has helped the company grow again. China for example serves as a primary market for Jaguar Land Rover and SUVs, both small and large find precedence in this part of the world.

Europe too has found its appetite for larger vehicles and both the Sport and Land Rover Evoque have worked their way up ranking charts owing to increase in popularity of these vehicles. We expect better sales since the XL is added to its lineup and company insiders are hopeful of sales too.

Jaguar understands what a crossover means to customers and they are using this knowledge to brush up sales on their SUV segment as well. A powerful four cylindered engine is expected to power this vehicle and we believe that displacement should be high along with fuel efficiency. However, final figures are yet to be unveiled and we should be given information soon.

Jaguar Land Rover is looking forward to making their official foray into the mid segment SUV range with the Evoque XL and experts believe this is a potent solution for catering to customers within the £30,000 budget. Range Rover however plans on launching a high end six-figure priced vehicle for its luxury segment customers although details regarding this product are yet to be known. Aggressive marketing has been undertaken long back and we expect the company to push for sales once these vehicles are launched.

Exterior wise, this vehicle bears resemblance to its predecessor although it should be smaller ion terms of overall dimension as compared to the Evoque. Interior details are yet to be divulged and we expect technical specifications to be unveiled later this year too. This vehicle looks like a candidate for a Detroit Motor Show reveal although we are yet to receive confirmation regarding this interesting piece of information.
