Land Rover to Showcase the LR4 at Frankfurt Next Tuesday
|   Sunday, September 08, 2013
Land Rover has updated the LR4 by a huge variable and the SUV is now finally ready to tread on any surface, with or without pavement. The LR4 is a luxurious yet strong off road SUV from the British car maker and the vehicle offers style, comfort, practicality and confidence to tread over any surface. It is a package and the best companion for the weekend drives as well as works as a regular office transport.

Land Rover has finally given the vehicle new looks and drive feel which enhances and upgrades the SUV as a whole.
The SUV segment does not have many capable vehicles at the moment and even though the list is pretty packed, most of the SUVs in class do not fulfill the requirements of the potential customers. As a result their demand is steadily tumbling.

The LR4 on the other hand is powered by a new drive train along with better infotainment and electrical. This gives the SUV a renewed appeal and aesthetics. Land Rover will not use the LR4 nameplate in most global markets and this vehicle will simply be called the Discovery in most parts of the world. Land Rover is however yet to announce its launch plans in the US market.

Although no notable exterior changes have been made apart from the additional headlamps, front and rear bumpers, grille, Daytime Running Lights and a renewed Land Rover badge, the LR4 is a whole new vehicle under the skin. The vehicle is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0 liter V8 engine as well as a 3.0 liter V6 engine displacing 340 BHP along with 322 ft lb of torque.

However, the latest Premium Lightweight Architecture framework of the LR4 is a generation ahead and we will have to drive the car to analyze its positives on the aesthetics of the vehicle. All engine options are mated to an eight speed ZF transmission system while premium additions have been made to the interior to give the vehicle an overall complete look and feel. Some of the additional features on the LR4 include Blind Spot Monitoring, T junction Cameras, Reverse Traffic Detection, and Wade Sensor technology along with premium quality sound devices.

Land Rover will unveil the LR4 at the Frankfurt Motor Show next Tuesday and the hype around the vehicle is at its peak at the moment. However, this rugged beast has a sense of aesthetic presence which many premium segment SUVs fail to present. This is what makes this a one of a kind SUV.

Land Rover plans on selling the LR4 as the 2014 model and the first batch should be available at showrooms by the end of the year. A specific launch date is yet to be announced although it is almost certain that it will witness mass manufacture by the end of the month. Like the Land Rover Discovery, the LR4 is a go anywhere SUV and this is what separates this SUV from the other fancy SUVs currently in the market.
