Land Rover showcases the all new Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013

Land Rover is treading on unknown territory and the company is trying its hands on unconventional ideas with the launch of the all new Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013. This vehicle uses a turbo charged V6 diesel engine and this is the first time that a Land Rover is using a company manufactured six cylindered V6 on its Range Rover lineup. The last time such a modification was made, the drive train features were shared with BMW. However, no such reports were found this time.

The previous generation Range Rover Sport had a BMW manufactured V6 engine and this vehicle accelerated to 60 MPH in 12.7 seconds. This was unlike most Range Rovers and hence the necessary upgrades were shortly made. The BMW 3.0 liter engine however was not faulty and the major reason was the excessive weight of the Land Rover Sport that the award winning BMW engine could not pull.

Land Rover vehicles are usually heavy as they sport a host of luxury and safety features and this was too much for the 3.0 liter to bear. However, Land Rover has come up with a suitable solution and the necessary changes have been made. The chassis and body frame of the Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013 are made of aluminum and six cylinders have been installed to increase power output.

Unlike the previous generation Land Rover, this vehicle is a commercial success as well as a more powerful and worthy successor. The engine is highly refined and the throttle response is better than the previous vehicle. The Range Rover is capable of both on and off road travelling as well as reducing Co2 emission and fuel consumption.

The Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013 is the perfect luxury SUV and at 70,000 Pounds, it is priced competitively in the segment. People could also opt for a Rolls Royce at this price; however considering the fact that a Rolls Royce is inadequate for off road travelling, the Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013 is a perfect vehicle.

The turbo charged V6 does not have the juice to compete with the V8. However, it is equally fun and thrilling to drive and the shortcomings can be neglected once the price difference is taken into consideration. This vehicle does not compromise either on style or space and what it lacks in performance, it makes up for in economy and comfort.

The Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013 accelerates from 0 – 60 MPH in 7.9 seconds and has a top speed of 130 MPH. The vehicle weighs 2193 kg and the engine displaces 2993 cc. Fuel economy figure is 37.7 MPG and Co2 emission is 196 g/km. Overall, the figures are quite interesting considering the fact that the Range Rover is a premium segment luxury SUV.

However, keeping in mind the modern technologies, Land Rover's work can be lauded. The Range Rover TDV6 3.0 liter Autobiography 2013 can be used for daily usage and this is a very dependable and economic vehicle to maintain on the long run.
