Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 remodeled to Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato
|   Friday, June 06, 2014
This is not the first time that Lamborghini and Zagato have collaborated in making, or rather, remodeling a vintage/ classic car. Still, the Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato can be considered as one of few eye popping cars in Villa d' Este 2014. There have been a number of collaborations in this event, and none of them are first timers.

Collaboration between Lamborghini and Zagato dates back to as far as 1965, when 350 GT was remodeled to 3500Z. This new car is also a remodeled version of Gallardo.
It comes on 95th anniversary of the Lamborghini Gallardo and marks yet another strong collaboration between two well known names in automobile industry.

There have been multiple collaborations between these two in past. Zagato is dedicated to remodeling vintage and classic cars, and they have worked with many different brands, starting their work with Fiat. However, such elegant and elaborate body work and exterior design has never been seen from this coach maker.

Gallardo LP570-4 is the first car from which this 5-95 has been derived. However, looks of these two cars are entirely different. First thing one can notice is a he flat and low front in this car. Also it has huge open air intake, which is rarely seen.

Rear of this car is also unique in its own way. It has one singular curved taillight. There is a black grille fitted at the back and there is a quad exhaust pipe also. So everything about this car speaks of loads of power.

A double bubble roof has been added in this car. There is a windscreen with no pillars. Everything about this remodeled car is more curved and oval, which gives it a degree of grace. Better looking wheels are also a part of this new getup.

Coming to power train of this car, things seems to be pretty similar. It might have the same engine as before with same power output. It might come as a surprise and a shock to car enthusiasts. They might have wanted more power for a better looking car. Well then, there is still hope.
With new shape and design of this car, it can still go faster with same power output and torque. It can be expected that top speed as well as 0 to 60 miles per hour time will be better in this car, thanks to its new design.

Collector Albert Spiess is the first person lucky enough to own one of Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato. So one can expect better and more informative reviews in near future. There might be more to praise about this car than just its looks. For others, there is more news which can be considered as both good and bad.

Although not confirmed yet, there is a chance that this car is going into production as a very limited edition car. So it is good news for the wealthy collectors and not so good news for others hoping to grab chance of owning this collaborative masterpiece.
