Lamborghini disowns plans to launch the Aventador 2+2
|   Monday, November 05, 2012
Lamborghini in a recent declaration has ruled out the possibilities of unveiling a 2 + 2 seated Aventador. Although initial reports suggested that Lamborghini was planning to introduce the model in the market as it was a part of the different concept vehicles Lamborghini had in mind but the latest reports seem to do away with any such possibilities, at least in the near future.

The idea of a 2 + 2 seated version of the Lamborghini Aventador was stalled in the drawing board and no further progress was made on the project.
Although the car makers had a lot of ideas regarding the project, most were not found viable and as a result the plan had to be stalled. Lamborghini has so far not hinted at the prospect of a future launch as well and the Aventador 2 + 2 are a distant dream for customers looking forward to this machine.

So far the launch of the V12 model of the Aventador has been quite successful and the people can now wait for the roadster and top open versions of the Aventador, which are currently being developed. Lamborghini is also looking forward to introducing a more powerful engine on the Aventador post the launch of the roadster and the customers will very soon have a lot of options on the platter.

The plans to launch the Lamborghini Urus SUV crossover is yet to be accepted by the higher authorities and although the decision was meant to be taken some time earlier, the plan could not take place as the discussions have to be made on a higher group level. However, the expected target date of 2017 is yet to be scrapped and as a result, there is still some hope left for the ardent Lamborghini fans to see an SUV from the premium super sports car making brand.

The Bentley EXP 9 F SUV is also on the rocks and the vehicle is expected to closely resemble the Urus in basic designing and drive train measures. Although the vehicle is expected sooner, little progress has been made to reach the deadline. The Volkswagen Group, owners of both Lamborghini and Bentley have confirmed that the plans on the SUVs are stalled due to the current financial crisis engulfing Europe. However, a breakthrough could be possible very soon.

Both Bentley and Lamborghini have planned their respective SUVs to combat the premium SUV segment currently owned by Jaguar Land Rover, Mercedes Benz, Audi and BMW / Mini but the plan has been shelved for quite some time now. Initially the Volkswagen Group did not have any problems with the new vehicles but the sudden plunge in the company's resources have made the higher authorities worry about the aspect of a prospective market failure.

As far as failure is concerned, Lamborghini seems to be tight lipped on the topic as earlier a few vehicles from Lamborghini did not do as good as the company would have expected. What the future holds for the company is yet to be foreseen.
