Koenigsegg Showcases the Agera One: 1
|   Tuesday, June 11, 2013
Renderings of the next generation Koenigsegg Agera One: 1 has been leaked onto an internet forum and this is the latest developments that have come in from Koenigsegg. This vehicle will be a one of a kind machine and is expected to be a Limited Edition with just four to five cars. Koenigsegg will be designing this vehicle exclusively for the Chinese market and this car is expected to sport the best power to weight ratio among all vehicles designed by Koenigsegg.

A standard version of the Koenigsegg weighs 1435 kg, and is powered by a 5.0 liter twin turbo, quad cam V8 engine displacing 947 BHP along with 811 ft lb of torque. Acceleration from 0 – 60 MPH on the Koenigsegg Agera One: 1 is possible within 3.0 seconds while the Agera is capable of a top speed of 273 MPH. The vehicle has been endowed with carbon fiber and aluminum parts and thus cut off weight by an extraordinary amount.

The rear wing also enhances the down force and stability and the Agera One: 1 sticks to the ground on most occasions. The Agera One: 1 on the other hand displaces close to 1400 BHP and the myriad minor aerodynamic modifications on the vehicle make it a smooth operator on the road. This performance of this vehicle is a notch above the standard Agera as its designing plays a major role apart from the mechanical components on the car.

Some of the advanced electronic and mechanical features on the Agera One: 1 include tire pressure monitoring, climate control, hydraulic lifting on speed breakers, g force censor, electronic lock differential, single clutch seven shift automatic transmission system and carbon ceramic brakes. These are some of the most important features on the Agera One: 1 which makes the vehicle what it is, in terms of performance, reliability and ergonomics.

Koenigsegg is yet to announce an official pricing on the Agera One: 1 although experts believe that the price should be close to the £1.3 Million mark to do justice to the vehicle. This is a Limited Edition and just 4 to 5 renderings will be available throughout the country, this is also a factor which needs to be kept in mind while opting for the Agera One: 1. Therefore, if you are able to own one of these things, you are least likely to encounter another unit of the car in your entire neighborhood.

Koenigsegg is quite skeptical about the Agera One: 1 and the engineers have left no stones unturned in their quest to design the ultimate hyper car. Although Koenigsegg has made no such remarks regarding the One: 1, it is expected that the company had designed this car keeping the title in mind. Currently the top two places for the world's fastest hyper car go to the Bugatti Veyron and the Hennessey Venom GT although the McLaren P1 is a contender for the title. A specific launch date has not been announced yet by Koenigsegg although a launch early next year is expected.
