Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk Presented In New York
|   Thursday, April 21, 2016
The Grand Cherokee lineage receives a new member, the Trailhawk. At the same time with granting that name other aspects appear that draw our attention to this new model.

The first Grand Cherokee concept appeared in 2012 at Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah.
Jeep's idea is to put on the car market a more robust Grand Cherokee with a more aggressive appearance and a 4X4 off-road package that will make you forget the pleasure of driving on asphalt.

The Trailhawk joins the five already existent Jeep models: Laredo, Limited, Overland, Summit and SRT. Grand Cherokee Trailhawk models will be equipped with Quadra - Drive 4x4 system, with Electronic Limited Slip Differential technology or, more simply, ELSD. It also comes bundled with a unique air suspension version, Quadra - Lift, specially built for this model.

Another technology that is mounted on the car is the Select - Speed Control, which offers the option of Hill Ascent Control. The fairing is more resistant to this model and the hood is covered with an anti-glare material, just to give comfort, safety and driving pleasure, regardless of the roadway difficulties that a driver might go through or weather conditions.

The angle of attack for the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is 29.8 degrees or 36.1 degrees when the front of the bumper is removed, but that happens when the terrain is very rugged and the obstacles are large. Slip angle is 27.1 degrees and the clearance angle is 22.8 degrees.

The exterior of the front part of Cherokee Trailhawk shows a grid with seven slots. This grille is taken from the model that had in 2016 its 75 years anniversary since the launch of the Grand Cherokee. On the front and rear hooks, the new Grand Cherokee bears the Trailhawk signature.

Standard wheels come in size of 18-inch or 20-inch with Goodyear Adventure tires, specially designed for off-road, with Kevlar reinforcements. Mirrors have details in Neutral Gray shade, as well as the protection cross bars.

Inside, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is equipped with black leather and the seats are designed to provide increased comfort. The Trailhawk logo is on the steering wheel, on the seats, doors and dashboard console. The logo is in the same shade of red that can be found on the front and rear hooks.

These details show that Jeep's engineers and technicians made not only a car capable of withstanding the toughest road, but at the same time an elegant car. The same thing can be said about the touch screen measuring 8.4 inches, which does not handle only as a gadget, but also as a piece of technology that takes into account the suspensions and options provided by the 4X4 wheel drive system like enabling real-time view of how the suspension works, the ground clearance, and distribution of power to the wheels. The model is equipped with a new version of Uconnect infotainment system.

The Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be offered in the following colors: Redline Red, Billet Silver, Bright White, Rhino, Granite Crystal, Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal.

In conclusion, the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is not just a car to help you get over any off-road obstacle, but also offers safety, comfort and elegance.
