Japanese Strategy To Conquer More Markets: Renault-Nissan Is Preparing To Incorporate Mitsubishi!

Renault-Nissan Alliance is preparing to integrate Mitsubishi in its structures and the three car makers will share production platforms and technologies.
In the first half of this year, Mitsubishi was very close to bankruptcy because of the scandal of the fake consumer tests on the market in Japan, but was saved at the last moment by its countrymen from Nissan.

Japanese manufacturer bought 34% of Mitsubishi shares and the transaction was finally approved by the European Commission and a similar response is expected from Japanese authorities.

After the Japanese state gives its consent, Nissan and Renault partners will begin to incorporate Mitsubishi within their structures.
For now, Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Renault Nissan Alliance, avoided to disclose the specific plans but said that the three companies will be very important for the automotive industry. "This is not a deal to join forces and see what we can do together. No. On the day the agreement is validated, we will tell you exactly what we will do together. And it will be something very important! Important for Nissan and Mitsubishi, but something significant for Renault and Mitsubishi, "said Ghosn.

Most likely, the three manufacturers will share production platforms and technologies, so that in the future, we may see similar patterns on a common platform. Incidentally, three years ago, plans of Nissan and Mitsubishi aimed at launching a city model on a Kei platform for models Nissan and Mitsubishi eK Wagon Dayz, sold only in Japan.

In addition, Ghosn believes that Nissan, Renault and Mitsubishi’s cumulative sales could surpass the future of the current world leader, Toyota.
