Jaguar is one of the most popular automobile manufacturing brands of recent times. They have managed to consistently combine comfort and speed to produce a thrilling and smooth driving experience. Now they are producing one of their first track focused cars in a long time, and perhaps their best track focused car ever.

The new Jaguar XKR S is going to be launched in Australia. It is a great news for the company that they are being able to expand the customer base for their track focused car as far as Australia, the only drawback being that only 30 left hand drive cars are going to be released in this slot.

The authorities in public relations department of the company have confirmed that the new Jaguar XKR S GT coupe was primarily designed for North America. 25 of the manufactured models were to be released in the United States of America and 5more were to be released in Canada. Still, the authorities also confirm that the manufacturing of more units will be made if there is demand for the car in the market. It has also been confirmed that the car will be available in right hand drive varieties as well for markets like Australia and the United Kingdom.

The first thing to note about the XKRs is the new aerodynamically ideal structures of the car. The XKR S is an evolved version of the already existing XKR and the designing changes done in the car gives it more down force and speed. The car can produce down force of up to 145 kg and has a top speed of 300 kilometres per hour.

The next important thing to note about the new Jaguar XKR S GT is the engine. The car uses a V8 for power. This is one of the most popular and most commonly used engines in track focused car. The supercharged petrol engine with a capacity of 5 litres can produce big powers. The power produced by the engine is in the order of 404 kW or 680 Nm. The engine is supported by an amazingly efficient transmission system. The time taken by the car to reach speeds of 100 kilometres per hour from 0 kilometres per hour is a mere 4.1 seconds.

There are many other features of the car that make it more tack focused. The new Jaguar XKR S GT has an exhaust system with valves and opens under load providing enhanced gas flows and optimising the power output of the car.

Some other custom features to make the car track focused includes the new suspensions arms present at the front as well as the rear of the car. The uprights, the wheel bearings, the sub frames and the bushings are all made to enhance the performance of the car on tracks.

The new Jaguar XKR S GT is priced at $174,000 in the United States and is a bit higher than the XKR S. The price in Australia should be about $394,000.
