Jaguar Plans on Unveiling their new CX17 Crossover Concept at Frankfurt Next Week
|   Saturday, September 07, 2013
Jaguar was planning on launching an SUV for quite some time now although this news never made the headlines until a few days ago. Jaguar made the announcement a few weeks prior to the official unveil at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This has resulted in a grand hype in the market which experts believe will ultimately aid the popularity of the vehicle during its launch.

It is quite obvious that Jaguar will be announcing the launch of their all new SUV at the event as no other big launches are up for some time now.
Jaguar however is yet to confirm a name for the vehicle although the Concept is currently being termed as the C X17. Jaguar is planning an online reveal for the car right before the official news is revealed at the event next week.

Teasers have been revealed although they reveal next to nothing about the concept apart from the high mounted rear lamps. This cross over will definitely sport muscular designs, unlike most of the coupes and sedans from Jaguar. Although Jaguar is not completely unfamiliar with SUVs and cross over, courtesy Land Rover, The C X17 has hyped up the market at the moment.

The C X17 however showcases more than just what the future looks for Jaguar. The underpinnings of the car are completely new while the structure is composed out of light weight aluminum. Jaguar is finally using Land Rover's Premium Lightweight Aluminum Structure on its cars although it is expected to be a slightly modified version of the same. Although Jaguar currently has no production plans of the C X17, the test mule has been designed and the car is currently being tested in the UK.

Jaguar is quite confident of its new BMW 3 Series rivaling vehicle although it is yet to be put to the real road test. The company claims better fuel efficiency along with more power although the claim needs to be tested. Land Rover has had issues in the past regarding quality and backup and customers hope that the same downsides have not been carried forward to the C X17 as well, although their breeds are different.

The new cross over should get a new nameplate, exclusively since Jaguar has applied for the XQ and Q badges in the UK. Jaguar is likely to name their new sedan as the XQ while the cross over should get the Q nameplate. SUVs are the latest addiction in the market and premium sedan makers such as Maserati, Bentley, Mercedes Benz, Audi, etc are all keen on making new additions to their range of SUVs and cross over vehicles.

Jaguar is yet to reveal a huge part about the C X17 concept although it is likely to be made within the next few weeks. This is great news as the market is currently lined up for news of the new cross over. The hype should carry on till the reveal and we will keep posting once new information is revealed.
