Jaguar F Type Nominated as the Best Car of 2013
|   Sunday, December 29, 2013
Research and Development has been the primary motto of car makers since the beginning of time and we have come across some very innovative ideas as a result of this. An example of this is the current generation Porsche 911 or a Ford Focus. We are quite content with what the current generation models have on offer, even though its next generation models will be better.

We are aware of this progress, even as we are opting for what is currently on offer.
Jaguar however have spent more than four decades with a single car, which many still consider to be its only actual sports model – the E Type. Even though Jaguar is currently into the XK8 and XJS, launching the all new F Type has rekindled memories of its E Type.

Jaguar's F Type is a very special vehicle with highlights similar to its E Type. Cabriolet, convertible and coupe body structures also allow this vehicle to be used in any conditions. This is a sports car which can be used to cruise highways as well as a daily commuter. A simple sense of class, refinement and sports appeal make it popular with the younger generations, even though older people do find a knack for it.

Handling characteristics of this vehicle is also quite similar to its actual predecessor while modern technology has gone a long way to improve on minor glitches which Jaguar faced before. A powerful and peppy V6 engine under a sub £60,000 price tag seals the deal with customers as it is technically a super sports car with luxury and class attached to it. The V8S however is more popular than this machine owing to greater power delivery.

Even though this vehicle sports an £80,000 price tag, people want it owing to the raw power and thrill of driving. Jaguars were known to be unsafe and fickle back in its day; new generation vehicles however are fitted with the most advanced form of safety and drive assist features there are. Reliability is not an issue anymore, which makes these vehicles for long time ownership.

Pushing the pedal to the floor will bring a feel of sudden adrenaline rush to the driver even by a small V6 S power house. Jaguar's latest F Type is being deemed as a Porsche Boxter rival even though this vehicle has potential to take on larger competitors. However, on closer inspection people realize that this vehicle has no similarities with what Porsche has on offer and hence it deserves its own place across global markets.

Jaguar is quite certain of what their vehicle is capable of and we have taken this vehicle for a spin around track and on road a few times now, to truly understand what it is capable of. If you want to buy an F Type, make sure you are ready to pay for fuel consumption as high end motors are not pocket friendly, although they are capable of giving you the ride of a life time.
