Jaguar C X75 is a Promising Supercar to its Core
|   Monday, July 01, 2013
Even though the Jaguar C X75 is a super car to the core facts of the term, the company will not manufacture this vehicle even on a Limited Edition platform. The Jaguar C X75 would have been the perfect addition to the class of super cars launched in 2013 such as the Porsche 918, McLaren P1 and the LaFerrari. The Jaguar C X75 looks like a potential super car which will be forgotten once the hype dies down.

The C X75 features a petrol electric drive train and is based on a rear wheel drive platform.
The decision to not bring this vehicle into production was takes back in December 2012 by the higher authorities as the cost of production was too high to make this project viable. British classic cars are not in favor nowadays and the Jaguar is its best example.

The Jaguar C X75 is a high performance proto type from Jaguar and has the potential to make it big in the market if the company could find a way to reduce the cost of production. The buzz around the C X75 was building since 2011 and like many potential proto types from Porsche, McLaren and Ferrari the C X75 will also join the history books.

To be the class leading super car the Jaguar C X75 had to perform like the Bugatti Veyron, emit lesser CO2 than the Toyota Prius as well as return sufficient fuel such as the Chevrolet Volt. This vehicle needed to be class leading in every aspect and this pressure was too much for the company to facilitate. The C X75 Proto type is powered by a 1.6 liter all aluminum four cylindered engine.

Even though this may seem like a small capacity engine, this small devil has no similarities with its cousins whatsoever. This engine is fitted with both turbo and super chargers and the power displacement is sufficiently high. This vehicle is lighter than the other super cars in its range by 20 kg and maintains more fuel efficiency than most of its competitors.

The engine displaces 850 BHP along with 738 ft lb of torque and accelerates from 0 – 60 MPH within 3.0 seconds flat, sporting a top speed of 200 MPH. The engine is mated to a seven speed automatic or manual transmission system depending upon the requirements of the customer. Jaguar has installed a range of engineering marvels in this car and it would take quite a few pages to explain clearly. Design wise the C X75 is a beautiful creation and is more sporty yet graceful as compared to the other aerodynamic creations from Jaguar.

Jaguar has designed the exterior with aluminum and carbon fiber while the car is highly aerodynamic. Power displacement is quite biased while the major percentage of power is distributed to the rear wheels. The car does not suffer from under steer and the steering, throttle and suspension response is high. The C X75 is also endowed with a range of electrical drive assistance measures which enhances the way this car behaves.
